The Digitech BP355 is truly amazing. The versatility on this unit blows me away. I bought mainly because it had a looper.
The looper alone is worth the money. It does give you 20 seconds of looping but you can do multiple overdubs. Neat practice tool. The effects are very good quality. The synth sounds are decent. The drum patterns are another great practice tool. Overall, this is a great unit. Very durable.
My dad got this pedal to use at church, and it sounds AWESOME. I have messed with it a bit, and have gone through all the settings, and I think its great for anyone who wants to plug in and play, or who wants to sit and mess with different effects dialing in their sound. It looks cool, feels good, and is compact enough to fit in a backpack or gigbag.
I have been playing bass for a little over three years now and anyone who plays an instrument knows how your skills rise and then stay, rise and stay, and so on. It's like climbing a mountain and then hitting a plateau for a while and then repeats itself. Anyway, I have only had this effects pedal for a few hours and I must say it truly is inspiring. There's nothing like finding a new sound that you love and through the discover of that new sound, you feel as if your playing abilities have escalated. As for the reviews that may say this effects pedal is "not for the plug and play" bassist; are completely wrong. Yes, it is true that at first glance, there are so many options but do keep in mind that there are plenty of presets to choose from that are good enough, and when you find a preset you think sounds cool but want to add a "little more" to it, you can customize it further. Overall, if you are looking for an effects pedal or as I like to call this one; a "effects station" then this very well may be the one for you. I absolutely love this thing and would immediately recommend it for anyone from beginners who want to find their sound, all the way to experts who want a new gadget to play around with. Once again, it is overall a good effects station and although I didn't touch up on all of the utilities that come "built in," you can read about those above. In the end, if you are considering it, just get it!
