A large ukulele with a deep bass tone that's easy to play.

Ukuleles are popular for a reason—they are just plain fun to play. Slightly larger than a tenor, the Diamond Head DU-200B Baritone Ukulele is carefully handcrafted from select mahogany and combined with a bridge and fingerboard made of rosewood for a soulful sound and excellent playability. As the largest of the ukulele family, baritones offer a much greater bass range than smaller ukuleles. And with their longer scale length, they also make an excellent crossover instrument for guitarists. Tuning the DU-200B is easy with reliable, guitar-style tuning machines that are perfect for the beginner or the advanced player. Topped off with perfectly dressed frets, quality strings and a pro set-up, these Diamond Head Ukes are a great deal.

Includes gig bag.

  • Great ukulele but...

As reviewed by Stephanie Curnow on 1/9/2013

This is my first baritone ukulele. I do play regular concert ukulele and both are fun to play. This ukulele is nice, and the action is really good on the neck, and its easy to play. The size is the biggest of all ukuleles. The one I received the tuners on it are black not white like in the picture, and the ukulele comes with a gig bag. The gig bag is horrible, its the cheapest looking gig bag I've ever seen. It's about as thick as a trash bag and feels like a trash bag. I think the ukulele might actually be protected more in a trash bag than the gig bag. The ukulele stays in tune really well, but mine is missing its serial number that's supposed to be in the sound hole. Overall I would recommend someone to buy it. I would just suggest that you also purchase a decent gig bag.

  • Fun for the small price

As reviewed by Bart Landry on 2/15/2013

Great action, sounds nice and full, looks pretty cool. My only issue with it is that when the open strings are tuned to pitch, the intonation is a little sharp. With that said, this is a criticism I have of almost every ukulele I've ever heard...and this is only $80, after all.

  • Awesome Customer Service

As reviewed by CAROLYN RAMOS on 1/25/2013

I was a little scared to get this Ukulele. But it turns out that it is a great find. 2 strings are wire wound. It looks and sounds great. I loved working with David Hernandez. He was very kind and concerned to make sure we got the Ukulele we wanted.
