Good Alternative to Monster

By Gus Manchu

from Dartmouth, MA

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

For anyone not interested in paying the extra money for the Monster Cables this is the one for you. My first cable was a Monster 5 ft and I got this one in a 6 ft a short time after that. Slightlty larger and sounds just as good. My only complaint is the the tips are a tad bit easy to unscrew but I have still never had an issue with it. I can only see my self buying DiMarizio's in the future. One suggestion: Don't Cheap Out!! Get at least the 10ft one because you WILL want it. Even if your just an at home musician, it comes in very handy.

WILL take ANYTHING!!!

By Smoking Underdog

from Bogota, Colombia

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

Had this cable for 13 years. Gigging with it for 9 usually on small stages where all other bandmembers and musicians step on it repeatedly. Had beer spilled on it various times and has a nasty cigarette burn. One of the most reliable products i ve ever experienced. Wouldnt post if it werent well built.

Best for your dollar

By TheRaygun

from Reynoldsburg, OH

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

I upgraded to the DiMarzio cable recently and have noticed a significant difference in the quality of my tone. The cable is crystal clear and extremely well-built. The cable does not bind up like cheaper cable will and the connections are rock-solid. Cable is something I overlooked for a long time, but is one of the most important components to your tone.

great cable

By OJ

from palatine, IL

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

I got this DiMarzio cable after my Fishman stopped working for an unexplained reason. This cable makes my guitar sound lively and doesn't have any crackling after a year of use. That's saying a lot because its usually wrapped around a chair and guitar stand. I love the tweed styling of it. Definantly recommend it if you're looking for a less expensive, yet quality cable.

Good quality at a good price

By archetypical

from New York, NY

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

Prior to using this cable, I had experiences with many cheaper cables which created an annoying buzzing sound. This cable, although perhaps not quite as good as the expensive Monster cables, is definitely a suitable alternative. It gives you a crisp, clean sound with no buzzing, and on top of all that, it looks really good. So if you're looking for style and crisp sound at a reasonable price, go with one of these Dimarzio cables.

Nice Cable

By Pat

from Sherman, TX

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

The sound is very nice, it doesnt seem to throttle anything back. I really like the durability the cable seems nearly indestructable. My only grope and it is a small one is that it seems to get tangled into small loops and I end up with a 10 foot cable instead of an 18 footer.

Outstanding Cables

By nopixels

from SLC, UT

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

Best cable I've ever owned. The sound and build quality is absolutely fantastic. I enjoy the array of colors (black and silver looks especially great), and the fact that these cables don't bind. I've sometimes lucked out with the "grab bag" sort of cables GC will put out during large sales, but these DiMarzio cables are a sure bet.

THE cable for me

By RGC2

from Lincoln, NE

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

These cords are amazing! They let all the nuances of my guitar come through. Crisp bright highs, full mids, and thumping lows. The nylon outer jacket helps the cord lay flat on stage and absorbs the punishment of your band-mates and stage hands stepping on them. They are very quiet as well and resist hum ulike a lot of cables. A truely premium cable at a more than fair price. Don't bother with other high priced cables that color your tone! Get all the precious tone from your guitar straight to the amp with these!

Pretty nice cable!

By PaGuitarGuy

from Pittsburgh, Pa

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

This is a pretty nice cable. Not crazy expensive, but not super cheap either. Nice build to it with nylon-esque braiding along the cord. The connectors are Switchcraft, which makes for an easy replacement job if you damage they connector itself or part of your cable. Give em a go, they're not too shabby!

A Touch Of Color

By BigDoba

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

I purchased the Military Green long cables. They are terrific. Excellent value for the money. They are easy to use and wind. A touch of color helps as well. Great choice. Would totally recommend.

the cable battle is over

By Laurence

from IL

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

The cable is very strong, sturdy, and makes a great connection to the instrument. Went with the 18 inch black and silver cable, it coils up very nicely which makes clean up a breeze, however it does tangle up if you don't straighten the cable out before said gig. I'm using it with my Fender American P-Bass and it's transfers the tone really well in my opinion.

Crisp sound for a great price

By Austyn Roderick

from Cleveland TN

Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

I've always been a fan of Dimarzio products and once again they have outdone themselves. This cable provides some of the cleanest sound while still keeping money in your pocket. I can be a bit clumsy so having a durable instrument cable that can take getting stepped on and dropped multiple times while remaining perfectly intact cosmetic wise and performance wise is a huge plus. and let me tell you, this thing is a tank I play a mix of everything but mostly metal and the second I plugged this cable in my so-so distortion sound from my amp became a thundering chariot of cosmic power. So before you invest money in some new pick-ups or even a new amp to improve your sound, give this bad boy a try. You will not be dissapointed.

A Solid Cable

    Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

I was looking for a solid, reliable cable to replace one that I've been using for probably thirty years, which finally developed a short. I didn't want to pay a small fortune. The DiMarzio fit the bill perfectly. It's reasonably priced. It's manufactured in the USA. It's well-made using good components. It sounds and looks good. It's comfortable to use, not too thin or too thick. It doesn't seem to tangle. It does it's job without any fanfare. What more do you need? The only question that I can't answer is how long it will last. Nothing so far indicates that it will fail; everything seems durable. If, by chance, it does, the cable is backed by a lifetime warranty. I did pay attention to capacitance in selecting a cable. At 33.27 pF/ft., the DiMarzio has a capacitance that is slightly higher than other cables. This hit the sweet spot for me, providing warmth without sacrificing clarity. Unless the cable fails or falls apart, I will certainly buy another DiMarzio. They work for me.

      Excellent Cables

      By PaGuitarGuy

      from Pittsburgh, Pa

      Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

Excellent cables. Very high quality craftsmanship and sound at a fairly decent price. The Switchcraft connectors can even be unscrewed if one desires to make repairs. 10ft seems to work nice for just jamming at home. It'll give you a little extra slack, if you need it, without making a small coil basket on the floor.

      Military Green

      By Omar Ortiz

      from Dallas, TX

      Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

Features: I am completely satisfied with this cable, the braided military green looks amazing it almost looks like it switches into a dark grey at times. Quality: Although the cable is somewhat stiff I'm sure it can take a beating when playing a show. I have some cheap cables at the moment, I was supposed to get two DiMarzio cables, but one was backordered due to not being in stock. I saw a slight difference between the cheap cable and the Dimarzio cable from my guitar into the amp head, maybe its just my ears. I did see some of the excess noise go away, so once I get my second 36" DiMarzio jumper cable to connect from my amp to my speaker cab I'm sure it will reduce more of that excess noise. I recommend this product if you are undecided between which kind of mid-grade cables you should get. Give them a try

      I love these cables!

      By David Wingrove

      from Rochester, NY

      Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

They look and sound great and are as durable as any cable I have ever owned. I have multiple colors of them and I especially like that they do not tangle up as easily as a lot of other cables. You can easily spend more for a cable that is not as nice as these.

      I like!!!

      By Jack Van Hooser

      from Broken Arrow, OK

      Comments about DiMarzio Instrument Cable:

I bought these cable to use while playing in the worship band at my church. I started noticing that my guitar had quite a bit of hum and initially suspected my amp. I took it home and did some investigating only to find out my amp was extremely quiet. I then came to the conclusion it might be the cheap guitar cables I was using. On my first use I noticed the hum was still there, although I do believe it is significantly quieter. I am running a distortion and volume pedal between the guitar and amp. The distortion pedal accounts for a lot of the hum I'm sure. It does seem to get tangled in things fairly easy, but I've only started using them. I'm happy!!
