Ok, I don't usually write reviews, but this one I feel needs it. There are people giving this poor reviews because they bought the WRONG PRODUCT. Before choosing to buy this, or the Gibson ones, look at your bridge pickup mounting ring. If it's tall with a steep angle, buy this one. If it's not so tall with a slight angle, buy the Gibson. It's not that complicated. It's a >5 dollar part that does what it's supposed to do. It fits my Schecter C-1 perfectly.

Nice Ring But Measure What You Need First...

Comments about DiMarzio Humbucker Mounting Ring:

The D'Marzio ring intended for the bridge pickup measures approx. 87mm x 43mm (Don't know if the neck is exactly the same).

I needed two high rings for an Ibanez AF75T hollowbody, and bought two intended for the bridge pickup. They had to be shaped to fit the contour of the guitar top. The plastic held up fine. The width of these matched the original rings but the length was smaller, almost too small and would have revealed part of the hole for the pickup. I ended up having to create new holes for the screws.

Comments about DiMarzio Humbucker Mounting Ring:

I bought two of these for a flatop Jackson Solist body. I had to carefully sand down the taller edges to match the smaller, thinner edges. Not a big deal, and they did work out in the end.

I bought a pair of cream surrounds for my flattop USA Hamer. Perfect color match, not the fleshy Gibson color. Perfect fit. Perfect height.

Bought the bridge pickup mount and it's very tall - the low side is 3/8" and the high side is 1/2". Will work for the flying v I got it for but won't work for a lot of other guitars - measure yours before buying

Comments about DiMarzio Humbucker Mounting Ring:

I had a used ESP LTD EX-351 that had cracks in the humbucker rings and some rusting in the screws but was otherwise in excellent shape. This was the second set of rings I bought looking for a close match to the originals and they worked out quite nicely. The other set didn't have enough rise on the back to match the profile but these are identical in profile and look as good as the originals in fit, and even better in finish.

Comments about DiMarzio Humbucker Mounting Ring:

I have a Dimarzio Super Distortion Humbucker that doesn't seat well with my pick guard. The description for this product is weak. It is high and uneven. I might be able to to grind it down. For some reason with my humbucker I can only lower it a certain amount because the height screws actually come off. I have had to wedge paper into it to keep it secure. For $3 I won't send it back but it is basically useless.

Comments about DiMarzio Humbucker Mounting Ring:

Almost the exact size of the stock Ibanez mounting rings I replaced (DiMarzio's were a hair deeper, maybe 1-2 mm for the bridge), and a perfect match as far as the original screw holes. So no drilling required for me. The width was exactly the same as the stock rings, so it fits the pups, and at the neck perfectly.

Just one caveat - the pickup height screws for the humbuckers (sold seperately as a set) were too narrow in diameter for the stock Ibanez pickups. I do like that they give you two sets for that purpose, both flathead AND phillips. But the screws will be too small to fit the holes on the stock Ibanez pickup mounting plate. That was a dissapointment because I ordered the screw sets along with the mounting rings to replace corroded original chrome hardware. For right now I still have the original pickup height screws in place...

Still it wasn't worth sending the set of screws back because the mounting screws were an excellent fit and replacement. Also I am going to be dropping a couple DiMarzio pups in this axe real soon, so I'm hoping the height adjustment screws will fit the DiMarzio pickups without fail.

(almost) fit the washburn Idol wI14

Comments about DiMarzio Humbucker Mounting Ring:

I bought a couple of this rings in cream, to give a little of color to a washburn WI14. The one for the neck is like 1mm narrower in the hole of the mounting screws than the original mounting ring, so I had to force a little the screws to get it installed. The bridge one is unusually tall, so I had to use sand paper to reduce it. There was again the issue with the distance between the screw holes, but this time the difference was smaller. Comparing the original bridge ring with the dimarzio's, I would recommend to use the neck model for both neck and bridge, in the case of the WI14. I'd say that the result was decent, and definitely an improvement from the original rings, that were uneven and bad mounted.
