ATOMIC BOMB EQUIPMENT

By WIKED1

from BAY SHORE, NY

Comments about DiMarzio 500K Push-Pull Pot:

When I decided to make an atomic bomb out of my 7 string Ibanez, I bought the Evolution 7 for my bridge pickup and the D Sonic 7 as my neck pickup. Going an extra step further, I wired the whole guitar up with a Dimarzio setup. I used the Dimarzio 500k push/pull pot for my volume control. Why the 500k? To get a little more power and treble response from my axe.

the push pull pot / killswitch

By Tris

from Moscow Mills MO

Comments about DiMarzio 500K Push-Pull Pot:

this is a high quality Push/pull pot. I had used it as a volume kill switch. It has a nice gradual movement, but not as smooth as my carvin pots ( linear ) but non the less if you use it as the tone pot push pull status you really don't need to be moving the tone around like a volume pot...but to each his own..it is what it is. ...the cons would be its a bit long and if the guitar does not have alot of space in the control cavity - could be a problem. also, when soldiering it up the whole pot gets hot and can cause a bit frustration to wire the grounds right. as far as the quality again its very sturdy and strong.

Great addition for the sake of tone.

By martin martinez

from Dallas, tx

Comments about DiMarzio 500K Push-Pull Pot:

I own a Michael Kelly hex xt with a powerful Dimarzio x2n pickup on the bridge and a Rockfield mafia in the neck; needless to say, I was feeling a little limited on tone, so I Installed one of these bad boys in coil split to replace the volume pot and I couldn't be happier. Now I can dial in a smooth jazz tone from the neck and a start like tone from my bridge then push it back down for a brutal metal sound. All in all, it is a great product that adds versatility and it feels like it's built to last.
