This switch by Dimarzio is the best! Was using a stock 3 way toggle by Peavey and needed a change. when you look at this toggle is a bit smaller than a normal one i guess, but the shaft was a little bigger than the stock Peavey on my V-type guitar. Non the less i made it fit and you really don't have a lot of space between the wood and the shaft part...It does fit sturdy, and fits low like a low profile switch. it even looks cool with the chrome look to it - it does not screw off like plastic caps you can change out for white ones, not here folks - just a solid chrome. Now the best part, its a 4 pole so you can wire up two humbuckers for split in the mid position. Like a strat sound for the middle spot. really sounds good for cleans. When you switch it , it has a very nice click sound and not that big hallow kaathunk, sound...It is expensive, but try and catch a GC sale of some kind....I got one and really was impressed with it.And then ordered another one for my other guitar. Also, the soldering joints are very strong and high quality. On the package states made in Taiwan. Hope this helps
original les paul switch lasted less than a year. obviously the cheapest component on the guitar. the DiMarzio feels like a better switch, but a small wiring diagram would have helped. had to figure it out with a meter.
