Drop this hum-cancelling DiMarzio prewired pickguard into your Stratocaster to receive the benefits of a 3-ply-thick pickguard with a built-in volume knob, 2 separate tone knobs, a 5-way "blade" pickup selector, and the impeccable tone quality offered by 3 distinct DiMarzio "rails" guitar pickups.
Neck Pickup: Pro Track DP188 It's warm, it's friendly, and it sounds like a vintage PAF pickup and will drop right into your Strat. The Pro Track has enough power for any pickup position, and the twin black blades mean there won't be any problems with string-alignment or dropouts.
Middle Pickup: Fast Track 1 DP181 The Fast Track 1 has a bright, clean sound—not at all like a full-size humbucker. The dual-blade continuous magnetic field creates an even string balance with very little magnet-pull, eliminating those out-of-tune occurrences common to rod-magnet designs. The Fast Track 1 pickup's power is double the output of a standard single-coil.
Bridge Pickup: Fast Track 2 DP182 Though it's not any bigger than a single-coil guitar pickup, Fast Track 2 has 3 times the output of an average single-coil, with a huge mid-range and bass punch. This single-coil sized bridge pickup is particularly useful when you need a tightly focused jolt of power to crank your amplifier into rich overdrive.

I bought this to put in my Squier Affinity Strat. The pickups in this thing are amazing. Great on distortion, but clean up very well and almost have a PAF sound. If your looking for a traditional strat sound, get the Area version. I play along with certain backing tracks on my G-DEC with the volume at 3 now, whereas before I had to crank it to hear myself over the "band". Very powerful sound, and silent. They are even quieter than the humbuckers in my Epi Les Paul Trad. Pro. Two things on installation that I couldn't find online. Not all the holes will line up with the stock pickguard holes, so be prepared to drill some pilot holes. Most of my holes were slightly off so I just used a cordless screwdriver to run the screws in. Second, the output jack wire is a single wire with a braided ground wire surrounding the white "hot"wire. You have the wrap the shielding up and run to one of the ground terminals in the terminal block, and wrap the other 2 ground wires together and put them in the other ground block. White wire goes to the positive terminal. I had to do some trial and error to figure that out, the video on Dimarzio's site had a guitar with a separate ground wire for the output jack. Very satisfied with the purchase, my guitar now sounds like one much more expensive...
I was replacing some stock pickups on a Strat copy, and looked around at a bunch of prewired setups. I settled on this one as something that would give me a more humbucker sound without going overboard on the "hot" feel. They delivered exactly what I was going for. Absolute silence when I'm not playing (i.e. no more of that annoying strat hum sound) and they have a great crunch when I put the distortion on. I play everything from death metal to pink floyd and these pickups are doing the trick for me.
