A nontraditional approach to high-output bridge humbucking guitar pickup design. Most hot humbuckers concentrate the pickup's power in a narrow frequency range for maximum impact. The Dimarzio Special spreads the sound over a broader range so bass and treble tones are boosted and midrange is lowered. The result is a sound that's hot, clean, and open at the same time. Recommended for bridge position.

I put this into a Squire Jagmaster and it really gave the guitar a nice bottom end. Even the most distorted chords have a definition to them that is very nice, and the cleans sparkle. I was not thrilled with the instructions on how to install it, but I was able to stumple my way through it. I would advise someone to have someone with experience install them(which I admit i don't have) and save a bit of frustration.
