I bought this tape to get rid of a noise that I was getting when I installed Vintage 1962 Precision Bass Pickups. I had already changed the pots and upgraded the wiring too and that did not help. I read on the internet that it was a shielding issue if your guitar makes noise when you take your fingers off the strings. That was what I was getting so I decided to shield the pickup cavity, the pots and control cavity and the pickup guard. I did this soldered a wire to the shielding and ground. Worked like a charm the guitar is totally silent now no noise with the volume up or hands on or off the strings. Sounds so much better great inexpensive fix all smiles now.
