im a proud user of dimarzio and have been for more than ten years .i tryed other straps before using these,but i allways had a problem with the stap coming undone and my guitar hitting the floor.then i was given a real old strap from the early 80s,and i still use it on the regular.its cool how you can change straps in a matter of seconds and you will never have to worry about your preshious baby hitting the floor.now ive been playing for about 13 years and i have put this product thru hell and it still is my favorite type and brand of straps.if your the guy who likes to swing your guitar around body like zztop this is the product you want and need.this strap will out last your guitar without a doubt.but dont listen to me go check it out for yourself.
When I was an even more active musician, I used to use these straps exclusively. I liked how easy and quickly them could be removed from the guitar and I liked that the plastic wouldn't mar my pretty guitars. I wasn't so sure about the plastic holding up over time, but I have a nylon version of this strap that I probably got in 1990 and it still holds securely and I probably unhooked and rehooked it at least a thousand times (everytime I put that guitar in it's case and it was my main guitar. Then I got a leather on several years later and used on another guitar. Great design, esp if you don't like the idea of the metal strap locks banging against your guitar.
It's a little tricky when you first read the instructions but I have both the nylon and the leather versions of the straps. Installing is a breeze just don't over tighten the screws and you'll be fine. Check them every once and awhile like any other important gear. I have no complaints it's comfortable well made and keeps your guitar safe. If you like to get a little wild or just have a taste for odd shaped guitars this one is for you. The leather is a bit tough but will loosen up and the snaps are very sturdy great for V style or Warrior cut bodies. I am a pretty big guy and it fits secure but in a good way. I have ordered other straps that made me feel like I was being strangles. I recommend DiMarzio ClipLock Deluxe model for anyone who wants to keep their rig safe and sound. It's not cheap but certainly worth it. The Nylon is good but I prefer the leather ones.
