If you are looking through DJ headphones in this price range, STOP HERE! These headphones are the BEST in their class. The wide sound range is spectacular with incredible, powerful bass response. This is a MUST when DJing with techno, dance, and trance music. Everything comes out very sharp and clear. Looks stylish. These headphones come with neodymium drivers, so they are very powerful. Solidly built to last. This product is a MUST for DJs! The only thing I would recommend for these headphones would be a detatchable cord and perhaps, a low/high pass filter, but these are rarely found. Good job Denon!

too tight on my head first of all. I do however notice that I hear all the sounds clearly but it seems to bring distortion to everything I play. The isolation isn't that good either and the bass isn't very powerful. Not worth the money in my opinion and it should have a detachable cord but it doesn't. Not that it said it came with one...it just should include one for this much money ya know?

Great!

By Homiegenius

from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

These are great headphones. I've used/owned many headphones, including Pioneer HDJ-1000s, Sony MDR-700 and MDR-V500, Sennheiser, and others. These are the best I've used. The sound quality is very good - the Pioneers may have slightly more accurate lows, but not by much. The durability on these is much better than the Pioneers or Sonys, however. These are also much more comfortable for long periods than the Pioneers, in my experience. They also have the added ability to swivel both ways, which most headphones do not. This is useful for DJs who wear their headphones in unconventional ways...it was useful for me while messing around at home when I needed to be quiet. I won't go into the details, but when using split cue on my mixer I prefer to flip my headphones around, and most headphones do not fit well when flipped. Overall, I'd highly recommend these.

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

Dont buy anything else ! Sound quality is way better than the Pioneer 1000 headphones, better than the senheiser pro, and completly kills the sony's !! For any professional DJ this is what will take the stage ! Clarity from low volume to high volume is precise and clear in all frequency ranges. very good headphone for taking out unwanted background noise ! Cant loose here !!

Best Head Phones That i Have!!!!!!!

By DJ Sleepy

from Elgin, illinois

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

What can i say about the Denon DN-Hp1000 headphones, man they are so great on the ears with the think pads, they have a great sound for those that like good quality sound!!!! there light and very good to handel, there not like the others that the heads move all every where. i have used technics, sony, and pioneers and they all can't come pair with the Denon head phones. i been using Denon heads phone for almost three years and i have never regreted buying them. yes there alittle pricey but for well worth it. for those that want to become a dj and can't decide on which head phone to buy. Trust me that with the Denon DN-Hp1000 you'll never regret buying them!!!!!!

good sound but...

By Couch

from USA

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

OK, these headphones sound amazing, they are really precise, hard hitting lows, great sounding mids, and crystal clear highs, they cut out outside noise really well and I guess are an alright value but after just one month of owning these, the right side of the headphones started cutting out, and then eventually died... at first I thought it was my mixer, but I brought them to my buddies house, and sure enough, the right side was still not working... then all of the sudden the right side came back to life, but they sounded like junk. I was debating whether to give it two or three stars, I chose two because it frankly pisses me off... I would expect this out of a "cheap" headphone, not something that cost as much as some of the top of the line ones available, that I know for a fact work great.

Best DJ Headphones!

By Omar

from Plano, Tx

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

These are the best DJ headphones I have ever used. They sound very clear and crisp. The bass is deep and crisp. The headphones are very solid and built well. They do not feel cheap at all. These headphones are worth every penny. A handful of DJs had recommended these to me. I am glad I decided to get these instead of a pair of Pioneer or Technics headphones. I let a friend of mine borrow my pair after he broke his old headphones to play at a night club. After he was done with his set he told me he was really thinking about getting a pair himself. Get these!!

awesome! easy to fix.

By William Verrillo

from Corrales NM

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

First the good. Amazing audio quality, durable, incredibly loud without distortion. I mix dirty dutch and the bass response on these is amazing as well as the highs. Also they are incredibly durable, I have never had a pair of headphones last this long. The draw back. In response to one of the two star reviews, the right headphone cut out on mine after six months also. However, I simply took the joint apart and it turned out that one of the wires had frayed so I just soldered it back on and they've been kicking ever since. Part of owning equipment is knowing how to keep it running and that's why I still give them 5 stars. I love these headphones! buy them!

Best Headphones for your $$

By Cooper B.

from Simi Valley

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

I have been using the Denon HP 1000 headphones for 6months now and am very pleased with how well they perform. Denon did a great job with designing this high end product. The drivers in this unit are very precise with impressive lows and crisp highs. The headphones are built to last with strong swivel joints (that turn up to 180deg) and metal cup casings. I do wish that the pads were softer like the Pioneer headphones because they do hurt my ears after a while. But other than that I could not be more satisfied with the HP 1000 headphones. I use them weekly to DJ and the continue to impress! I am glad I decided to invest in this professional and high quality headphone!

Love 'em, Use 'em and Rock 'em.

By Damon Brown

from Tumwater, WA

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

The first pair of these headphones lasted 5 years before they were stolen. The second pair were LEVEL 1's (like new)purchased from Musician's Friend. Those headphones lasted about 5 months before the connection started going. Guess what? I didn't purchase the extended warranty either. I am still kicking myself for that one and would have given these headphones 5 stars had I not had that particular experience with ab used product from the Musician's Friend. Despite all of that I am about to buy another pair and this time I am buying the extended warranty because they are worth every dime. If you buy these new, this particular set of headphones should outlast their warranty, but I suggest you buy the warranty anyways.

where's the bass

By Jimmy Jack

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

I purchased these headphones after breaking a set of new Pioneers. Without hearing them in the store, I stupidly bought these for one reason only...the sturdiness of them are outstanding. However, after getting them home and trying to mix with them, I noticed one BIG problem...the bass response in these is almost nothing. Being a DJ, 99% of the time I have to hear bass in the headphones to mix. For almost a week, I worked with these trying to figure out what to do only to continuously train wreck. Thinking it was just me, some of my other DJ friends tried them out and complained of the same thing...NO bass. Finally, I had to set them aside and get another pair of headphones with a much better bass response. Sorry Denon, but these are lacking in sound quality.

WILL BUY AGAIN

By John Lee

from Seattle, WA

Comments about Denon DN-HP1000 Professional DJ Headphones:

I previously purchased these a couple years ago and I broke them during a drunk night, I needed a pair fast and I purchased a set of pioneers which isn't bad at all, but I missed the comfort and quality of these, hands down bought another pair and will keep buying these if I have to!
