Great device, I use this with my MBP, along with the Novation Dicer and the Stanton Uberstand. This device is awesome, has a lot of great features. I wish it had more effects features, but I guess it is what it is. My main beef with it is the location of the USB input. I put this on top of my Vestax PMC-07 Samurai, and the USB cable definitely gets in the way. They should have had it coming out of the back, not the side. Either way, it's a great device, built like a tank. Really helps with my turntablism....
I purchased this unit over the Memorial day weekend and this unit is the best unit for its value. This is a must for Turntable dj's .. You can MIDI map to you taste. Buttons are super smooth and Gel like feeling. denon always makes the soft buttons. I used it for a sweet 16 and life is alot easier . Well Done DENON!
I found this item on the website and went in to a GC store to buy it. The sales people didnt know much about it or where it was, they took about 20 min to find it. But this makes serato that much greater. Ive used Serato for years and I love it but many people do say that they would use it if you didnt have to be so into the laptop. This changes that it makes many features accessible so much faster and the buttons are very well organized. The item is pretty tough and strong. I still got the GC protection becasue of all the buttons.
Simply put - The best piece of DJ equipmente to get. I'm a DJ of 35 years, starting with vinyl now digital. It has made my job even easier and fun to mix with. My samples and cue point are amazingly smooth and on beat. My customers keep asking if the mixes are pre-made or live. I even has other DJs asking me the same thing. I even have them asking questions on how to better live mixes and do remixes on the fly. Now I'm getting one for my grandson who is begging for one. Make sure you have this piece of gear in your system. Easy to set up and use.
I bought this to see if I can condense and replace the 2 Korg nanoPads. By far this has been the best purchase I've made for SSL in recent memory. I use cue points alot, and it the 2 nano pads made my rig a little too much. This condensed everything I've been doing and using by 10! This piece is heavy duty (not like the nanopads i've been using for the past 3 years). Buttons are really responsive, and the endless rotaries make this ideal for all types of DJ's (hop-hop to electro). This basically made DJ fun again. . . .seriously! My only issues are the SSL bugs though. I've been messing around with this for the past 3 weeks, and it occasionally freezes SSL. It freezes the screen, but all the audio coming out aren't bugged out. I usually have to unplug and plug it back in then takes over right where it was before (with a few weird issues with the lights on the controller). Nothing too bad. I visited the Forums for SSL and Denon, and Rane are working on a fix for this (eventually for Scratch Live 2.1). Works flawlessly, and I would've have given this 5 stars had it not been for the bugs and freezing while using it.
I am pretty sure this puts serato back on top once again. I will say this much do a you tube search of this watch JFB do his routine on it, and watch the demo, and then you'll buy it too... I am telling ya its worth it, it makes serato's possibilities so much more..... it is worth it especially if they have it used cause its not that old of an controller period.. so do it to it!
If you have Seratọۡ Scratch Live you need this. It makes things so much faster then doing it on computer.
I like this product with Scratch Live software. I do not have to use keyboard any more when I have to use cue points, loop, auto loop, even loading track to decks. With auto look feature you can make nice effects. You can make loop and cue points on the fly. I have used it to its full potential so I can not tell more. I have bought a midi to usb cable to map scratch live with my Pioneer DJM 800 and it was ok. I have used AKAI LPK 25 also, but I like DN-HC 1000. I mean this is made for scratch live, so you dont waste time settin up or mapping using other midi controler. Thanks!
