Back in the groove.

I've been a drummer and DJ for the last 19 years. I haven't done much of the DJ thing as of late until my boss at work told me his band had cancelled and needed something bad. My singer was out of town so I asked my boss if he would ever consider a DJ? He told me no! So I asked him to give me a try. He gave me a thumbs up, but the problem was that I neede me a new cd player. After checking out 30 other players I came across this Denon. I've always had respect for their name but thought they were a little over priced. Well, I guess you get what you pay for cause this thing is awesome! The display is beautiful. Even with all the features, I found it very easy to use. The cd text feature is great for me because I'll burn a few cd's before a gig and find the text very useful during song searches. The player did not skip one time, given the bass level of my system, I found this amazing (tried using a home cd player and it skipped all over the place)! I wouldn't recommend this player for a beginner, but for the intermediate guy (like me) this player rocks! I also found the backlit buttons very usefull since it was pretty dark, but tray illumination could have been just a bit better. If you need a rock solid player in a medium price range this is it! One last thing, thanks Guitar Center for the price break! I did not really want to spend that kind of cash but your sales rep hooked me up!!!
