Dean Guitars' Zero Dave Mustaine "In Deth We Trust" Electric Guitar was designed by Mustaine in a collaboration with the master builders at Dean. Everything about the Dave Mustaine Zero simply works, from the stellar graphics to the right combination of woods, electronics and style.
Unique features include a 25-1/2" scale, a modified Z-style body with sharper angles and edges, a special set mahogany "D-shaped" neck, and a headstock with in-line tuners. DMT Design pickups and the string-through body produce unbeatable sustain. The dual volume, single tone, and 3-way switch is the control configuration that Dave prefers.

I was looking for a Gibson Explorer to go with my Les Paul, and Gibson V but couldnt find exactly what i wanted for the price i wanted to pay. I saw this in a guitar magazine and i liked the graphic so i went to guitar center to check one out. I fell in love imediately! This thing is near perfect in every way. I bought it and took it to get set up that day and dindnt pick up another guitar for three months. The action is LOW with no fret buzz at all even with a heavy attack and regular strings. I have two USA Gibsons and think i like this better. Feels great, plays unreal and for the price its well worth it! The stock pickups are good but I do wish Dean would have put Dave Mustaine Live Wires in it. I had a set of EMG 60-81 laying around so i put them in. OMG!!!!!!! This guitar is BAD A!!
You really need to get 81/85 EMG's in this. I don't get why they sell "Dave Mustaine" guitars without actual Mustaine pickups. The pickups in this are decent for stock metal pickups but if you want a great sound you need to invest a bit more. For another 100 or so you can get a neck-thru mahogany Schecter w/ EMG's/
Ive been playing this guitar for the past month now and can say im pretty impressed with it. great action and the smaller neck makes it alot easier to shred faster. It has sustain for days thanks to the strings through the body design. I love the design and was looking for a good dean guitar to add to my collection. If your looking for a great graphic on a guitar this is great and looks even better in person. The price was good and im very happy with it.
I bought this dean guitar sight unseen for the "In deth we trust graphic". I picked it up at the guitar center in fairfax Virginia. I have been interested in Dean guitars for a few years now and finally decided to get one. I was blown away with the sustain this ax has. It goes for days! The action was perfect right out of the box and the neck was great for getting around and working the strings. It's alot easier than my fender strat and my fingers don't get as tired. The graphic is perfect and really gives this guitar the Metal look it deserves. The pictures don't show off the real beauty like it does in person. The guitar feels well built and getting to those higher frets is a breeze. With the strings going through the body it doesn't take away from the graphic on the front. It's an extremely light guitar for being all mahogany. What I'd liked to have seen done with this guitar is adding the strap locks and a good hard case. It would have been worth the extra money to have. I bought the Dean hard shell case for z body guitars and the guitar is a very tight fit. The case is huge and very heavy but this guitar needs a good case for protection. I'm glad I got it. In all I'm very very happy with this investment and its a great addition to any collection. If your looking for a price, playability, and looks than look no further. Get it!
