I have played guitar for roughly two years and I bought this guitar about nine months ago from a friend who was selling it to be able to have sufficient funds for the parts for the guitar he was making and I have hardly put it down since. He sold it to me for 100 dollars and I figured it would be a good deal. After getting it home I realized it was an amazing deal. This guitar sounds amazing with distortion and also has great clean tones. Since I bought this guitar, I haven't even touched my Washburn X-series guitar. Also, I have played a friend's Gibson SG and I do like the SG but I still like playing this Vendetta XMT more. I play this guitar almost every day and I hardly ever have to tune it, unless I'm tuning it down a half-step or to drop-c. Like another review, the volume knob has been getting a little loose but can be fixed easily. Great guitar for anyone looking for a great guitar at such low prices. TWO THUMBS UP!!!

      Excellent Guitar

      By Christopher Kelly

      from Belleview, Florida

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

I've been playing guitar for roughly 2-3 years. I just bought this last month and I haven't even picked up my Stratocaster since. This guitar is amazing to play on distortion and clean, it has a great sound also. The tremolo can make it flat if you use it too much, but it's not a Floyd Rose so that is not surprising. The strings it comes with are really good but I may switch them out. I like the pickups but I switched them out for signature Dimebag Darrell pickups and now it plays perfectly! I highly recommend this guitar for beginners and experts alike.

      Great Build

      By Blake Norris

      from Troy, AL

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

The guitar itself is very solid, has excellent playability, and looks way better than you would expect. The drawbacks are the hardware, and the setup. The pickups are good in the price range, but not great, and the tuners are not very fine. A nice set of Grovers and a couple of Seymour Duncan Invader make the guitar a ton better if you intend on playing on stage. When I first got mine, the tremolo was set to high, and the neck was bowed, but an hour or two of adjustment, and any fret rattle or playing issues are removed. This is a great guitar to start out on and slowly upgrade, or to use as a "buildup" guitar.

      Sick Guitar

      By Anthony

      from Homer Glen, Illinios

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

I like this guitar! I bought it as a backup for my guitar which i personally customized. Because this had a tremolo (which i would later be happy for it having one because my other guitar's tremolo) I use this a lot now. This is a very silent but deadly guitar! The pickups are very warm and have a good sound with surfer rock (or tube overdrive pedals). The neck is a very uncomfortable neck. Its thick and the action on the strings are pretty high. If this suits your guitars feel than I would not think twice of buying it

      Best guitar ever!!!

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

Alright lets talk about the Dean Vendetta, i bet you guys you will find this review really helpful. Im gonna make it simple. First, the price for this guitar is amazing, you get more than what you expect. It has 24 frets wich is pretty awesome. The body is really good. But every guitar has its disadvantages and the vendetta is not an exception. I had this guitar for about three months already. I like to use the whammy bar for harmonics. But i found out that when i used the whammy bar on this guitar gets out of tune. WAIT!!! KEEP READING... I did some research and yes i found a way to fix that. It is easier than what you think. I first thought that the problem was on the spring tension, but guess what that is not the problem. All you have to do is buy some lubricant and lubricate the nut and saddler of the guitar and BOOOOM its fixed i hope this helps ROCK ON!!!

      Best Quality for its Price

      By Michael

      from Houston, TX

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

I bought this guitar a couple months ago. I have to say that I'm quite pleased with it. It's a very sturdy guitar, and lightweight too. I mainly play with distortion, and metal is my primary style. This thing packs a lot of distortion, and I can get many styles out of it. The pickups aren't the best, but when you look at that price, you realize that this thing is actually very good for it's value. I didn't really like the strings that came with it, but that's an easy fix. The only real problem I have is that the tremolo does bring it out of tune. If you don't want to deal with this, you could buy the model without the whammy, which is even cheaper. Overall, this is a great buy. I'd reccomend it to any beginner or intermediate player, or anyone on a low budget.

      Dean Vendetta review

      By Dave

      from Fresno,California

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

What can I say about the Dean Vendetta Xmt,well to start thing off i love the wait its is so light(12.5 pounds to be exact) it has great pickups, and most of its very affordable. This Guitar has great tone and good for Rock/Metal. There is however a few things I personally do not like. The first thing is that the neck is pretty thick and I like Necks that are thin but thats only my opinion< The other thing is that when you buy it you may have to adjust the tremolo a little bit to make it looser, but other than that its a great guitar. I seriously suggest you buy this guitar especially if you are low on money but want a great sounding guitar. Hope this helps

      love this thang

      By levi lockling

      from lakewood colorado

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Vintage Tremolo:

so i had purchased this guitar because i wanted a 24 fret dual humbucking whammiing sob. with the vendetta i got all that and more. at first when i used the whammy it went out of tune terribly. but after i set the springs in balance it stays in tune quite well dispite my dive bombing, not as good as a floyd but still kicks butt. as far as the tuneres go they are not of the best quality but they hold tune pretty well none the less. stock pickups are OK, only 2 conductor wire so those who want coil tap like me might want to buy different pickups but other than that great for the money
