This guitar is awesome. I am a novice guitar player, learning everything i can about how they work and how to play'em. I have three guitars, all entry level, squier strat, b.c. rich warlock, and my new dean vendetta, and love them all. This one is especially unique to me because of the light weight. I love the 24 frets and the tremelo on it. Everything seems to be in order hardware wise, but ive only had it for a day now. I would not suggest ordering online though, go to your local Guitar Center and check it out. The techs there can look it over if you dont know what to look for. Im going to go get this set-up in the next couple of days so it is in peak condition, but even with my standard tuning it sounds great and feels great. The satin natural finish is nice because it isn't as common of a look making it stand out amongst other axes. Buying an axe is like bbuying a car though, test drive and make sure it is right for you before you buy, im sure you will be impressed.

I have another guitar I keep baritone: I use this to practice scales and chords in standard E. It's perfect for long practice sessions for it's comfortable feel and light weight. Something that will bother many buyers is the fact that the color was NOT as advertised. Mine was so thick with the stain, you can see no wood grain. It's so dark it's almost black. Fortunately, after I got over it, it's kinda better :-)

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

This guitar is not built well. The electronics are very loose and shaky, the amp cord input is terribly noisy. It feels great to play but is overall not worth it.

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Several reviewers have commented that the guitar is NOT the same as pictured. This is correct. The photo shows a nice woodgrain. The guitar I received (and returned) was nothing like the picture. Could not even tell if it was made out of wood (no grain whatsoever). The finish looked like heavy brown blotchy shoe polish. Not sure if Dean is trying to pull a bait and switch or not. I would love to get the guitar as pictured, but someone is trying to deceive the customer. Not my usual great experience with Guitar Center.

No complaints on this guitar, for the price you dam sure can't beat it. On par with my Gibson as far as the way it sounds and the feel. I'm absolutely impressed with this guitar, I bought it for practice but ended up loving it just as much if not more than my Gibson.

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

This is actually a very excellent axe. I had it for about a year and then got a couple of Squire Strats and I gave it to my old friend and he just loves it and won't play his Les Paul, or Startocaster. If you are thinking about this guitar, think no more, you can buy it and love it.

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I've had this Vendetta for a few years and it was ok at first. The neck produced some buzz, but I adjusted it so it was ok. Everything else was acceptable, but then the high "E" tuning machine head began to strip out and I could never achieve a tuned guitar. Took it off and looked for a way to adjust, but there was nothing to adjust. It feels like it's made out of plastic. Now, I will have to buy a new set of tuners and that will probably cost more than I paid for the guitar origionally. Beware: Made in China!

Best Guitar Available for the Price

            By Michael Lane

            from Mtn. Grove, Missouri

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I bought this guitar for my birthday last year and I have to say, it has not disappointed me. The only reason I bought this particular guitar is because it seemed to be the nicest thing I could afford with $100 budget. Well I wasn't wrong, or at least I don't think I was, this guitar looks and sounds great and really its only flaw is the tuners, they fall out of tune quite quickly but if u don't mind tuning a lot that's no issue. I play a lot of metal and this guitar works great for that, it has a very comfortable neck as well. All in all I would recommend this guitar for the price, but lets face it, you get what you pay for.

            Well worth the money!

            By ROY DUNCAN

            from Caledonia, Ill.

Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I went through a few different guitars before finally deciding to give this one a chance. To be honest I wasn't sure it would measure up to what I was looking for because of the price. I bought the Satin Natural finish (which by the way isn't nearly as light colored as the image or at least mine isn't) because it was the lower priced one. I've tried buying guitars before and not been impressed, but so far I can say this thing is outstanding! I would even rank it right up there with my ESP LTD EX50 that was conciderably more expensive! If you are looking to start out playing, or buying for a budding new player, you really can't go wrong with this baby! I really can't say a bad thing about it. Obviously it isn't going to be your last guitar if you truly love playing and don't mind spending more. I would easily say this compares in quality and sound to guitars that sell for 2-3 times as much!
