The Vendetta VNXM 7-string is a good guitar for the money, if you want to start playing the 7-string. The pick ups are a bit weak, so you may want to replace them down the road. The fit and finish is not bad at this price point. It plays well for being an extended range guitar.

Good Guitar (especially for the price)

By StlyeFree

from Oklahoma

Comments about Dean Vendetta VNXM 7-String Electric Guitar:

Great guitar for the price. Because of it's low price, that means it's a pretty average guitar. It's good if you're just starting on 7 Strings, but if you're into high end guitrs, you're probably in the wrong price section. Only a few downs to it: the pickups arn't that great. They arn't bad but if you want a good distortion sound from it, I'd suggest switching them with EMGs. The second little problem is that the output jack is very loose. It'll fall out if you step on the chord, or jump around too much. So I wouldn't suggest this for a live guitar. Other than those I think it's a great guitar. It has great bass notes, I'd recomend trying tuning it to A or Ab standard for better bass notes. One last thing, it's not just a metal guitar, it's also a great jazz guitar too and probably every other genre. 4.5/5 (though I can't do that but I think it deserves a 5 rather than a 4)

Great 7 string!

By Some guy

from Burlington, KY

Comments about Dean Vendetta VNXM 7-String Electric Guitar:

If you have the 6 string version of this, you'll love this one! They're basically the same except the number of strings. The sound is good, but can a a little static sometimes. It's super light and has a fast neck. Not bad for a first 7 string.

Great Guitar

By Zack

from Ontario, Canada

Comments about Dean Vendetta VNXM 7-String Electric Guitar:

Just got this guitar for my birthday and I am very impressed. The guitar is so light its like I'm not carrying anything on stage. The sound quality is great though will be upgrading the pickups to blackouts soon. What most stands out to me is how the neck almost feels like a 6-string I compared it to my friends Fender 7-string and the neck is thinner. What I don't like about this guitar is how close the tuning pegs are. Its hard to tune but other than that great guitar.

deathmetal machine

By floyd ball

from port arthur, texas

Comments about Dean Vendetta VNXM 7-String Electric Guitar:

got this guitar today and so far so good for my first brand new guitar, hoped for more transparency from the paint so the grain of the wood could be more visible. had a used dean avalanch7 for years i got from a pawn shop that was amazing that had to be sold during rough times, but this guitar is a very suitable replacement, the pick ups are good but does have weak 250k potentiometers that will be replaced with 500k or better once i can afford them. as is... i run straight into an Acoustic g120 dsp with 2-12" speakers and get good quality brutal deathmetal out of it. head stock differs from the picture with dean in small letters and vendetta in bigger letters. love the all black hardware and to me nothing beats string through bodies with tune-o-matic bridges. strings are a bit light guaged so will be replacing soon. tuning pegs are smaller than my previous dean with grover pegs but still nice and not hard to tune for the more professional touch. over all i look forward to many year with mine.
