This instrument is very nice. It looks great. It sounds awesome. It plays very well. The quality is very good, even the licensed Floyd Rose is of very high quality. It is everything that I was hoping for and more. The action was somewhat high when I received the guitar but I lowered it and it is now perfect. Compared to my Jackson, the neck is a little thick but I think that probably contributes to the good sound of the guitar. It is not too thick, just thicker than what I was used to and I got used to this very quickly. It is very solid and you can feel the music in your hands. I can't imagine how a guitar for any price could be better.

Ok, this guitar does have some great features. Now lets run down the list. First let me tell you why I bought this. I own a jackson rhoads rr2. I love the guitar but since I am gigging a lot I really don't like bringing it out. So I bought this because the features are great on it almost similar to a rhoads. But it really doesn't meet an of my expectations the neck just seems like a toy neck. Not fast at all not really thin either. Oh yeah the pickups sound very weak as well. But im sorry its not a horrible guitar but if you are buying it to shred and play fast then then this is not the right guitar for you. #1 reason floyd rose will never I repeat never ever stay in tune.

Sort of slow neck.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

I Played one of these at a local music store a few months ago (it STILL hasnt sold). At first i thought, "oh cool, a dean!". It looked great in that trans black, although it shows a little less detail then it does in the picture. The floyd rose worked great, despite being out of tune from.. i dont really know. After it was tuned i started playin and noticed the coil tap, which is a nice feature, i really liked it. But then i actually started shredding and i just felt.. sluggish. The neck was very thin, easy for metal and such, but this.. like the person that assembled it was having a bad day or something, and the neck wasn't oiled properly? It just felt slow. I dont know why. In all, if the unit at the music store had a better neck, i'd buy it in a heartbeat.

An amazing value

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

This guitar has it all - Mahogany body, through-neck design, killer finish, eye-catching looks, great neck, original Floyd Rose tremelo, Grover tuners. For the features, the price is great. The playability is fantastic. The Floyd Rose can take Steve Vai-style abuse with no problems. The tone is full and warm. It feels like a solid, well-built piece of equipment. I've played my share of Ibanez, Schecter, Fender, Gibson etc. I think I just became a Dean Guy. P.S. If you want to see a pro shred on this guitar look up David Shankle (Manowar/DSG) on Youtube, look for his 2010-present vids, he plays a customized Vendetta 4F on some of them and melts faces.

No reason this shouldn't be a 5

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

Basically this guitar is amazing, some guy below said something about the neck not being fast and floyd not stay in tune and the pick ups being weak, maybe his got damage or he just got a badly produced one somehow because Ive played several diffrent versions of this guitar and different ones of the same version, all amazing new, used whatever this guitar is fast as hell and has some of the sickest tone I've ever heard, and the floyd rose never budged for me, whether this is on sale, used or full price if you're looking for a GOOD guitar get this, it doesn't get better.

Way more than well worth the price

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

This is an awesome guitar. It plays very well, has a nice thin body with a gorgeous trans black finish, and the neck is amazing. The Floyd Rose is of very nice quality and can take some serious punishment. The guitar did need alot of adjusting out of the box but was totally worth it. Deffinitely one of Dean's top of the line instruments. The only problem is the pickups. The neck is fine and has a great tone but I am not a fan of the bridge pickup. It's just not heavy enough for me and they will be replaced soon. But other than that, no comaints. Amazing instrument, much more high quality than you think it is

Worth the money and then some

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

If you're looking for a high quality guitar at a lower price, check out Dean. Many players endorse Dean and it's for a reason. People think about "brand" names they know when buying a guitar. If Dean isn't on your list, then youۡre kidding yourself! I have played about every guitar known to man and now I own 3 Deans. This guitar far surpassed my expectations, and I was expecting a lot, it's a Dean! This is a shred machine, the only Ibanez I retain is my 7 string. If you want a feel similar to the Ibanez Prestige series, but at half the cost, check out a Vendetta 4.0. Plays great, pickups cut through the mix, came out of the box ready to play; no long set up time. The Floyd Rose has a nice smooth feel and pulls sharp. The site suggest I offer other product recommendations, well, get a nice high gain amp and an ISP Decimator and shred away with your new Dean Vendetta, sweeps are a dream on this thing! This guitar is for Neo Classical, Metal, Hard Rock, and Shredding.

Awesome Guitar for any price.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

I fell in love with the looks of this Dean Vendetta 4.0 guitar first off. It is very sleek and elegant. I have a Warlock and a Mockingbird but I wanted something a little faster. I love the way it sounds, handles, and feels. I have played more expensive guitars, the two I own were higher priced but this really performs. Nice fat frets and the neck is very thin and flat but is more playable than the Jackson neck. I don't fatigue even playing longer sets. The electronics are high quality and the pickups are just right for a great all around sound no matter the style, Sabbath to Slayer. I have a friend that plays professionally and he was very impressed with my "out of the box" guitar compared to his expensive guitars. The guitar was professionally set up at a music store when I bought it and I have not regretted this purchase. I recommend to anyone looking for a guitar with great playability. It keeps it in your hands and out of the case longer.

Solid Instrument

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

In terms of playability, the Vendetta V4F has it in spades. I would definitely put it in the same class as many of the Fenders I've played. I was able to achieve a very reasonable action after spending a little time on the setup. The humbuckers on this model are adequate, though most finicky players will likely swap them out. My "overall" rating is higher than the other categories because I would give this guitar a five for playability. The Floyd Rose licensed tremolo is capable of some very deep dives, and the guitar stays in tune quite well. I don't like the fact that three different size allen wrenches are required for a full setup, but once it's done you're in business. If you've never tinkered with this type of arrangement before, don't be intimidated. However, those that are mechanically challenged might want to steer away from Floyd Rose altogether. The size of this guitar is somewhat diminutive. It is lightweight, and produces a reasonable sustain. Not as much sustain as my LPs, but it is comfortable and attractive. If you are looking for a reasonably priced Strat knockoff with a good tremolo, then this guitar is definitely worth a try.

Great for anything

By Moose1991

Comments about Dean Vendetta 4.0 Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

I got a Dean Vendetta a year ago and I love it. I play everything from blues to heavy metal and this guitar can play it all. I also like the way it looks, with the evil eye inlays and the thru-neck. The only thing I can complain about is the pick ups don't have the crunch I need for the heavier styles of metal I play. I'm thinking about putting in some emg's to make it really roar. Basically, its a great guitar.
