Honestly, this guitar is great for any musician, either just starting out or for someone who has been playing for years. Dean knows what it is doing when it comes to guitars, specifically how to make them sound great at a very reasonable price. When i picked up this guitar, i was surprised but how impressive the output was. Very clear highs, glassy mids, and the low end...well...lets just say the Dime would have approved. The tremolo, as with any FR, is touchy to set up in the beginning, but once you have it to your liking, let the divebombs commence, and without any change in tuning or playability. This guitar is great for anyone seeking to play any style of music. The only gripe i have with it is the bolt on neck. BE CAUTIOUS IF DROPPING TUNINGS. I have had bad experiences with bolt ons and playing in A, B or C tunings. But thats just me. Definitely check this guitar out, crank it up loud, and enjoy this new masterpiece that Dean has created.

This is a pretty good guitar. The only problem is that it is a pain to take care of. Although it has the locking nut, it goes out of tune very easily. And when it does go out of tune, its a HUGE pain to get it back into tune. Changing strings is also a huge problem. It takes forever and you have to be PERFECT while doing it. I recommend this guitar only if you have the time to do all the maintenance on it.

Dean Vendetta

By Ben

from Connecticut

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

The other weekend i thought, why not go down to guitar center to try out some new guitars that had a tremelo, so i'm pretty new to them so i thought i wouldn't like to pay to much for one. I tried the dean vendetta, at first i quite liked it. The build quality was OK, the neck was OK. But what i really didn't like was the feel of the neck after a while, it does seem dean have tried to cut some corners. The tremolo seems fine though but i am no professional at tremolo's seeing as though i have gibsons Overall i would give this 3 stars because i thought the neck was uncomfortable at the time. Also i would like to see a pickguard maybe.

Very solid guitar

By Ali

from Lakeland, FL

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar a couple of months ago and have grown to appreciate it more and more as I play it. It is a very solid and versatile beginner/intermediate/practice guitar and it breaking in very well. I suspect I will be using this one for more than just practice as the months turn to years with no problem. The Floyd Rose stays in tune fairly well for a guitar at this price point. I think I appreciate all of the little features that come standard with this guitar - Floyd Rose, push/pull pot, very nice Dean humbuckers, Grover tuners, mahogany/maple has a nice tone and this guitar has surprising sustain. Would recommend to anyone who wants a full-service practice guitar that is fully upgradeable if you just aren't satisfied, which I can't imagine why you wouldn't be. Definitely one of the best guitars you will find brand new for the money.

Love this guitar so much !!!

By JB

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar on sale, and so far it has been worth every penny. The neck is extremely comfortable to play on, the pick-ups are great for the price range. Not to mention the Floyd Rose is fantastic, no need for retuning the guitar after tremolo use. I cannot express how good this guitar is considering the price. It sounds awesome, and is just simply fun to play. Thank you Dean!!!

Liquid Steel

By Doug Crabtree

from Bellefontaine Ohio

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

Just bought this guitar and wow!!! I've owned Les Pauls,Ibanez,Fenders and junk. This is not a piece of junk!Well designed and great quality, the only thing I can see is the tuners but if ya crank em a bit tight after locking down the nut I've not had a problem with them. For the deal ya get with this purring kitten I'm sure you can afford a set of nice tuners for it.This thing is awesome as far as the action and the way the neck feels. It's as fast as you are and as smooth as liquid steel! Beautiful finish and a quality piece at this price? Go for it,spend a couple of bucks to upgrade it and shredd !!!!!!!!!

Worth the price

By Jim

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar 2 weeks ago, and was kind of disappointed at first since it was very hard to tune. However, once I got it tuned and tightened strings, tremolo worked very nicely. above all that I would definately say it is hard to find this quality guitar for the $$$ and I have stopped complaining about its worth. I am not buying 1k~2k guitar, so I will take the best among the affordable market.

it was ok...

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I normaly dont use whammys so I just thought i'd try this Dean out. I liked the sound and the whammy was simple to use. I found that it was harder to tune now I have leaned thats standerd for a real whammy system.although the tuneing heads seemed unrealiable. I also Thought it was realy uncomfortable to play with such as that the neck was realy cheap feeling. But it was pritty good still.

vendetta 1000

By John

from chicago ,IL

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

Got this on clearence. The guitar is awesome, it can easily compete with guitars $700+. The pickups are crunchy and very responsive. The neck is thin and fast. The floyd special holds tune pretty well. I saw on youtube I guess it reccomended you out in 4 springs. starting from left to right 1 spring, space then 3 strings. It will stay in tune. Its hard to describe, so check for the floyd rose special on youtube. With the floyd I can dive domb and scream away. The neck pickup is smooth and bluesy. The bridge is hot and seems to do well with chording and leads. Overall a great guitar. The finish is flawless. The coil tap is a feature that I do not use, but it does work. You can hear the difference. for the price you can't beat this guitar

Dean Vendetta 1000

By Josh

from El Cajon, CA

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar for $200 due to January clearance and I think it's worth it for the most part. The only thing THOUGH, is that it DOESN'T KEEP IN TUNE WELL. The low E string always goes out of tune , especially after using the floyd just once. I don't know if I have to adjust the springs or add a new one or what. It's my first floyd rose so that may be factor. But really, isn't it supposed to stay in tune? I thought this was the point of a floyd. If anyone could help me out, that would be awesome.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

i bought this guitar around christmas time and i love playing it the biggest problem is changing the strings it takes a while to get it in tune but it makes up for that by the way the tremolo feels and sounds another problem is the lock in nuts their cheap and break easy i suggest buying some lock in nuts from guitar center when your buying it other then two little problems the guitar is great to play looks awsome and you can rip it up on one
