Honestly, this guitar is great for any musician, either just starting out or for someone who has been playing for years. Dean knows what it is doing when it comes to guitars, specifically how to make them sound great at a very reasonable price. When i picked up this guitar, i was surprised but how impressive the output was. Very clear highs, glassy mids, and the low end...well...lets just say the Dime would have approved. The tremolo, as with any FR, is touchy to set up in the beginning, but once you have it to your liking, let the divebombs commence, and without any change in tuning or playability. This guitar is great for anyone seeking to play any style of music. The only gripe i have with it is the bolt on neck. BE CAUTIOUS IF DROPPING TUNINGS. I have had bad experiences with bolt ons and playing in A, B or C tunings. But thats just me. Definitely check this guitar out, crank it up loud, and enjoy this new masterpiece that Dean has created.

Well, let me start of by saying I have owned the Dean Vendetta 1000 in trans red for a few months now. First thing I noticed when I received in the mail and strapped it on was that the neck had a really nasty thin feel. I've played many guitars and have felt little cheapy guitars around a hundred bucks with better necks. Next, the pups do not differ much from each other and often sound muddy and cleans are downright awful. The FR set up is decent but the tuners are not very good and do not keep it in tune for very long. I do not recommend this guitar unless you try it out first and can look past its shortcomings. Once I get some free time to look around my local guitar shop I will be trading this in for something I like better. I didn't send it back because I thought with a little work I could get it to sound better-kicking myself for wasting my time with this.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

It's a solid guitar for hard rock and metal. With two humbuckers, a floyd rose bridge, and coil splitting, there isn't much you can't do with this thing. It would be great if it had 2 volume and 2 tone controls like a gibson.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

Well, I got this guitar a while earlier because I loved the finnish and Dean usually makes pretty decent guitars with plenty of treble response. Most of this was true, and it is still a solid workhorse. I don't really use it for much other than for cleans, despite Deans reputation as a metal brand.
The electronics are fine, and the neck plays well, but the DMTs are kind of weak. They have a lot of output, but practically no attitude. Sounds great with cleans, but no real snarl on distortion. If you trade out the pups, maybe for some DiMarzio Evolutions or something, it will improve greatly.
Overall, I think it is worth the money, given that you have a flamed maple top, floyd rose trem, and some good electronics. Just do it justice and change the pups!

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I just picked up this guitar and just from the demo in the store i knew it was for me. The floyd rose is amazing for such a cheap price. it also has a selecter switch in the tone knob you can get crunchy or even a wah sound depending on where you select it. Great shredding guitar. overall it is very well made, very light weight........... AMAZING

    Junk

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

Save your money for a real guitar, my sons 100 dollar squire strat sounds and plays better.
This guitar is a piece of junk, may look OK but it is not a players guitar.
Very poor neck and little sustain. The pick ups are probably the most valued thing on it. the rest is not worth getting into, just junk.
Cheap means cheap here. There is no way you can use this guitar for anything other than banging on it.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

i bought this guitar around christmas time and i love playing it the biggest problem is changing the strings it takes a while to get it in tune but it makes up for that by the way the tremolo feels and sounds another problem is the lock in nuts their cheap and break easy i suggest buying some lock in nuts from guitar center when your buying it other then two little problems the guitar is great to play looks awsome and you can rip it up on one

    Yes, I guess.

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

I loved the Floyd Rose system on this guitar, even though it was broken. Specifically, the knife edges had worn down, the intonation was all over, and the fine tuners were wrecked in every way. I can't stress enough the comfort and speed of the neck. Overall, an excellent buy.
Nice, unique sounding pickups, Floyd, excellent neck- the fr on the one I used was damaged, but still worked.
The one I played was used, and the Floyd rose had been improperly cared for and damaged. It still had a good range and feel, however. All other components worked very well, especially the pickups. They had a very interesting voicing that reminded me of DiMarzios. The tuners were awesome, and the neck was perfect.
This guitar did better than most standard Ibanezes I've played at the price range less. It cannot be beaten at this price range.

This guitar has great action, it sounds great and it plays great. I have mine plugged into a raven rg20 so it could sound a bit better. It makes a 10 wt amp squier overdrive respectable

Comments about Dean Vendetta 1000 Electric Guitar:

Got this on clearence. The guitar is awesome, it can easily compete with guitars $700+. The pickups are crunchy and very responsive. The neck is thin and fast. The floyd special holds tune pretty well. I saw on youtube I guess it reccomended you out in 4 springs. starting from left to right 1 spring, space then 3 strings. It will stay in tune. Its hard to describe, so check for the floyd rose special on youtube. With the floyd I can dive domb and scream away. The neck pickup is smooth and bluesy. The bridge is hot and seems to do well with chording and leads. Overall a great guitar. The finish is flawless. The coil tap is a feature that I do not use, but it does work. You can hear the difference. for the price you can't beat this guitar
