The Dean ML Modifier Floyd Electric Guitar has a familiar silhouette displaying a combination of hardware and electronics that demands to be onstage. The strong mahogany body sports a set mahogany neck with a comfortable, slim "D" shape and an extra-smooth ebony fingerboard. USA DMT "Time Capsule" Pickups pickups respond evenly with plenty of bite while the Floyd Rose 1000 bridge puts dive-bombing and tremolo effects at your fingertips. Black control knobs and Grover tuners add to the dark vibe of this reliable workhorse of rock.
Time Capsule pickups
The Time Capsule series of pickups is what Dean currently uses in their original TC series guitars. These pickups capture the biting tones of the vintage Dean instuments produced from 1977 to 1986 with very strong lows and mids.

Comments about Dean ML Modifier Floyd Electric Guitar:
I got this rig new in box just before xmas for under $400 before tax. This guitar is the first one I have had with Grover tuners. They are awesome. The set neck makes the guitar have a beautiful tone and sustain. It isn't the narrowest, but is thin and comfortable to play and easy to do bends. Pinch harmonics are also very good. The tremolo bar is set at an aggressive angle and is very responsive. Even though this guitar looks unwieldy, I find it very comfortable to play. It is very lightweight and you have excellent access to the fretboard. The ability to play this in several positions allows me to play this guitar longer with less fatigue. My gripes about this guitar are on quality. The action was set WAY too low from the factory. It took me more than a cpl times to get rid of fret buzz. The fine tuning screws on the Floyd feel cheap and I'll probably change the pick ups eventually, they are not bad just nothing special. The guitar stays in tune really well unless you do dive bombs, (I am still using the original strings though). I would still buy this guitar again, its one of my favorites and is very fun!
