Comments about Dean Hillsboro 09 PJ Electric Bass Guitar:

Let me just get the one detail I have issue with out of the way first. The D and G strings have higher volume than the E and A. Normally this is resolved by adjusting the pick ups accordingly but I've found these pick ups difficult to screw to different levels. That being said, the issue is hardly noticeable when playing with a full band and very manageable when jamming alone. The P/J pick up configuration provides a terrific "punchy" tone with clear low end and detailing mids. I recommend this instrument to players of ALL levels that don't want to break the bank.
