Awesometastic!

By Adan Aranda

from Yuma az

So I just bought myself a used Dean shadow off the guitar center site and man there's only so much I can say about this really awesome guitar. first is that it's little. haha second the neck and fret board are so thin and smooth, I myself aren't the kind of person to sweep and do all those technical stuff, im more of an old school soloist but man, its so smooth and thin, you can sweep and not even notice! The floyd is pretty awesome, Only bad thing is that when you put new strings they detune quite a bit but im sure all floyds do that right? Anyways, from me to a person who doesn't have or hasnt played a dean shadow.. if your looking for a sexy, smooth, fast and loud. get this guitar, this guitar is way better than my Gibson les paul goldtop, Jackson dinky and my Jackson randy Rhodes.

Total Shredder

By Michael V. Brown

from San Antonio, TX

If country music or blues is your goal forget this guitar. If hard rock, metal, and shredding, is your goal than this is the guitar for you. Very well constructed very sturdy, good electrical wiring job, and stays in tune. The neck is wider than most necks, but still feels and plays good. I replaced the pickups with a Dimebucker and DiMarzio Super Distortion that brought it to its full potential. But even stock this guitar cannot be beat for the price. If you have a chance to get one, then don't hesitate. You'll be glad you did.

Got my wings

By Jonathan Plaza

from Hermosillo, SON, MEX

I've owned this guitar for 3 years now and what can I say, it is just perfect. Stock pickups are fine, but after a year I changed the blade bucker for a Bill Lawrence L500XL which made it even better. this new combination of pickups made the guitar to do whatever it wants. Its clean sound is great and the distortion takes you to a new level. I've played in a Pantera tribute band and those dimesqeals sound like crazy. Of course its look is great and it is a lot lighter than it appears to be. I just wish the bridge was an Original floyd rose instead of a licenced one but it still works just as great as it needs to, the only problem is the annoying way in which you have to screw the tremolo bar. Over all I would say this guitar is far beyond other 600 bucks guitar Ive ever played plus the hard case that is included is just perfect for it protects this baby just as it needs. I really recommend this guitar and in my experience, dean is always great so go get your wings.

Greatest Metal Guitar

By Aaron L

from Pittsburgh PA

I've had this guitar for almost a year, and it is by far my fave. The neck is very comfortable and easy to shred on. The floyd rose is amazing for being one of the dean factory stock floyds. I actually perfer the floyd on this guitar then the origanal floyd on my ltd. The flutter effect with the floyd is very good on this guitar. The pickups are also extremly good for factory stock. The harmonics are amazing! If you play heavy/thrash metal or punk this guitar is for you.

Incredible, worth it.

By Matthew W.

from Ozark,AL

I went up to guitarcenter looking for this guitar, I found it and plugged it in. Right away I knew I was going home with it. The neck is extremely smooth and fast, it glides through your hands. Both pickups are incredible. The clean sound is amazing. The distortion blows you away. It is actually pretty versatile in my opinion. But definitely made for Metal. You can abuse the floyd rose without fear of going out of tune. It is pretty light and looks amazing. I am glad I got my wings.

Amazing guitar

By Dustin

from St. John, IN

I've been playing guitar for a little while now and I've tried a few guitars so far, but this Dean is definitely one of the best I've tried. It's got the Floyd Rose tuning system which keeps it in tune well. It's got a nice sized neck so I don't have trouble playing any frets. It's finish is very cool, gotta love the black. The neck inlays are really cool looking, especially the razor blade on the 12th fret. It's a bit heavy, and takes a bit getting used to with the unusual shape. After you get used to it though it's amazing to play. All in all, love this thing and my next guitar will have a hard time topping this one.

AMAZING GUITAR!!!

By Hewitt

If you are a dimebag fan or just looking for an awesome new guitar for good price you have to get this guitar. Smooth and easy playability. The licensed floyd rose lets you pop a squeal just like Dime. Overall it's an amazing guitar and you need to get it.

Best Guitar!!

By Alex

from San Jose CA

Omg. when I came in the store and tried the guitar , it absolutely blew my ears away with the pickups! also I could not stop playing the guitar becuase it literally felt like I was cheating on the neck. its a very very comfortable guitar! the bridge pickup is a old hot rod sound and the neck is very deep and dreamy and full. if you think I'm kidding go out and play one. you can get to playing whatever you want whether its blues or Pantera. another thing is about it is that the harmonics are very easy to obtain. just try it and see for yourself! Great guitar

Best Guitar for genre of Metal

By Jennifer Gonzalez

from Los Angeles, CA

This guitar is just amazing! I currently own one just in a different color and this guitar is the perfect match with three pickups and tones amazing distortion, a smooth neck made of rosewood, easier to play because strings are at a fair distance where your fingers feel very comfortable, and an awesome body that is very unique first inspired by Dime from Pantera. Dime products are made to rock out loud in a way where you feel EXTRA comfortable.

Ive been playing for almost 2 years now and ive always been a Les Paul guy owning 2 Epiphone Les Paul and a Gibson Les Paul Robot but this guitar changed my views in guitars. The first time i played this guitar i thought that this guitar was made for me. I plan to own many more Dean MLs in the future.
