    Sleek Rocker

    By Kevin Vaillant

    from Rockville, MD

Comments about Dean Deceiver x Electric Guitar:

Picked this up second-hand some months ago for one Benjamin. This is a scary clean, articulate beast when played with the volume at half, and through a clean tube amp- similar to a P-90 equipped axe with a Fralin bridge pup, and volume down. Watch out when you dig in, though- this goes to a borderline hard rock / metal tone instantly ! Think "Comfortably Numb" to "Thunderstruck" in an instant.....this appears to be the only Deceiver with 25.5 radius, Fender-style bolt-on Neck: the other versions are the Gibby standard at 24 3/4 radius and set Neck, so make sure you're comfortable with that. TIP: the Taylor ELECTRIC guitar case (light brown, rectangle shape vs LP contoured) fits this guitar Perfectly. (I bought it second-hand so the merchant just gave me whatever case he had that fit). I hope one day to move towards owning the Leslie West signature model, which has a similarly sexy body shape.

    AWSOME GUITAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments about Dean Deceiver x Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar in december, and the second i open it I was like OH YEHA!! I plug it on and started playing and I was in heaven. The finish is great and the pearl inlays look great. It stays in tune for a long time even with some major string bending. I played it for about 2 hours and you could not even tell that i played it all. the fretboard was clean. I had it now for about 4 months now and the FRETBOARD IS STILL CLEAN!! BUY IT NOW!!

Bought It As A Backup / Use It As Main

    By Kelly Perkins

Comments about Dean Deceiver x Electric Guitar:

I originally bought this as a backup/second guitar, but I am using it more and more as my main. I fitted it with a GK-3 Roland pickup to access my synth, and it works perfect! Great feel, great sound, unbeatable price!

Comments about Dean Deceiver x Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about two months ago and it is just amazing. The action is nice and low, the neck is sleek and fast, controls are simple, and the pickups are really good. The guitar itself is not to heavy or to light, it has great tone and good sustain, and stays in tune remarkably well. I love this guitar so much I bought one for my daughter who has been playing for a couple of years now. You can't beat the quality and playabilty of this guitar, especially at the price.

    I think I like it.

    By Zach

Comments about Dean Deceiver x Electric Guitar:

So I went to Guitar Center today looking for a solid back up guitar. I looked at a total of 5 guitars(a lower line ibanez S series, a Dean Vendetta xm, a Dean Vendetta 1.0, a epiphone sg special, and this guitar.) Out of all the guitars this was the best one, and I got a really good deal! The guy at guitar center told me that the guitar was NEW from the factory, but sold used because of a small blemish. So I think my guitar was setup how it comes from the factory, and I have to say it's set up pretty good. The action is good and fast, but still could be lower. I don't know much about the pickups, but they sound good to me! The neck is average quality, but it's still fast. This guitar has a lot of sustain and is very versatile. I can get really good blues and clean tones out of this guitar along with the great heavy metal sounds it can create. It was hard to truly try it out at Guitar Center because of the noise and I couldn't get it tuned right, but when I got it home I tuned it up with my tuner plugged it in to my Line 6 spider 2 120 watt amp and it was Awesome. In the 2 hours I've been playing it, it has stayed in tune perfectly, and it is really easy to tune down and back up from standard to Drop D tuning, and back to standard. Let's just say this, I have a MIM Fender Stratocaster that WAS my main guitar. I think that says enough.
