Great beginners banjo

By Marisa D.

from long beach CA

Comments about Dean Backwoods 3 Banjo:

You can't beat this price for a starter banjo. It doesn't have the most perfect pitch, and you have to tune it often, but I think it's a great instrument for those who are just learning to play. Once I get a lot better, I will invest in a nicer banjo, but this one is a lot of fun to learn on.

It's ok

By Zac

from Markle, IN

Comments about Dean Backwoods 3 Banjo:

I wanted to start playing banjo for fun. Didn't know much about banjos. Since then I have been playing it. The 5th string is hard to keep tuned since it is not a gear tuner like the rest of the strings. Great starter banjo, but if you have the extra money make sure its a gear tuner on the 5th string.

Comments about Dean Backwoods 3 Banjo:

I bought this banjo for my first banjo. I play guitar and wanted to try something new. Iwanted to get something that was cheep in price so I went with this one and it sounds grate. Just adjust the neck, set the bridge corectly, and put new strings on it an then your on your way.
