  • A Great, Lightweight Bass

As reviewed by Alan McGarrity on 1/31/2011

I play bass professionally in two working bands. My regular instrument is a Fender Jazz and I bought this to use as a backup. I "test-drove" several and picked the one I liked. It does a great job and I have even played gigs with it. It has great action, a wide variety of sounds and is a great value for the money. I enjoy the fact that it's comfortable and lightweight. I have come to the realization that it doesn't matter at all what the headstock says - if the instrument sounds good and you enjoy playing it, you've got a winner!

  • Bang for the buck!

As reviewed by Adam Crum on 1/6/2011

Been playing guitar for 10 years so the bass comes pretty naturally to me. Ive played a lot of basses, many of them close to 1000 dollars and some only a few hundred. For the price, this bass simply cannot be beat. Theres a little bit of a fret buzz, but for the price, its more than bearable. I love playing it, its got excellent tone, and it looks great!

  • Nice sounding Starter instrument for little $$$

As reviewed by John Morris on 2/21/2012

I bought this Bass for my 10 year old to jam with our youth string-Rock band. I have to say I was pleased with its tone quality. It only has one soap-bar pickup so you don't have a great tone range, but its position makes it perfect for playing rock. Nice fairly thin neck, really nice tuning machines, and a hot rod look, make this a nice value. I would have rated it five stars but the nut fell off while I had the strings off to do a little hot rod pinstriping. The nut was not fitted and glued properly, no big deal really. Over all this bass has the sound quality to keep a student interested at a price that mom and dad won't mind.
