Dean's version of this classic rock guitar features a basswood body, bolt-on neck, V-shaped tailpiece, fixed bridge, zebra pickups, and Grover tuners. The added string length created by the exclusive headstock coupled with the original Dean neck design provides incredible ease of play. Still offered in it's original configuration, the Z has withstood the test of time.

this guitar is great, it has great tone, looks amazing, and is very affordable. it will play anything. it has great pickups, and go perfectly with the body. built perfectly, not top heavy, and great to be noticed. great for solos, or just a song.
honestly the only thing i did not like was the toneless zebra pickups set into stock, recommendation for a paf 58/ dimebucker combo, on this guitar, the grover tuners are high class and keep in tune, this is also a great guitar for players who wish to buy excellent quality and upgrade further, i now use this and my dbd tribute (upgraded) for a lot of song composition. everything else is solid and the looks (brazilaburst recommended) match it. overall great even years after you obtain it, with age this guitar plays just a tad bit sweeter.
I got this guitar in December 2006 and it is amazing. I had a crappy yamaha guitar before and I was completely blown away by the tone of this guitar. The pickups are raised away from the guitar body and it is extremely easy to solo. An amazing guitar and well worth the price, it even goes great with any kind of music. I'm in a punk band and i just use a grunge pedal with it and it sounds amazing. Buy it if you need a great guitar.
