NEW REVIEW - good inexpensive starter

I've been playing for nearly 20 years, and I've always gone with inexpensive guitars and loaded 'em with nice pickups. Axes in this price range can be hit or miss, that being said, I played 3 different guitars (same model) until I found the one with the best fit and finish @ my local G.C. store. I'm surprised by the stock pickups, they're not bad at all. My vendetta's electronics are solid, and this model plays very much like a less expensive Squier strat. The black finish is cool and I'm happy with my purchase. Of course you get what you pay for, but for a decent guitar at a starter price, this one is worth checking out.

awesome

the guitar sounds great but the only thing wrong with it are the knobs so you might have to get new ones after awhile other then that is light weight

Beginner guitar

This is probably one of the best beginner guitars out there. Great for anyone who wants to play guitar but doesn't know if they'll stick with it or not. The pickups are ok for the price. But this guitar chips very easily, so be careful.

Not Bad, Not Bad at all actually

Came into my local GC last week to check out this guitar. Was in need of a practice guitar one of my band members could use for private sessions. This one did the trick. I didn't expect much from this guitar but man it puts up a fight. It has little trouble keeping up with my Ibanez RG420. Even my lead guitarist is blown away by the sound this thing makes for a guitar in this price range. The pickups are fairly good and responsive. The guitar has a bolt on neck but features fairly good sustain. The body of the guitar is ultra light weight and thus good for younger kids and people with back issues. The tremolo featured on the guitar is pretty average something you would find on a standard squire strat. The neck on the guitar takes some breaking into because the guitar makes some buzzing noises between the 4th and 15th frets. After playing it for 3 hours the noises went away. My advice is to try the guitar out at GC first before you buy it. do NOT buy guitars online that are in this price range because you will regret it. Overall this guitar is a winner and in a class of it's own. 5 stars

Play it first

I bought this guitar online a couple of weeks ago. When it came in the mail, the neck pickup didn't work at all. I sent it back and got a new one. The new one has an incorrectly radiused 4th fret (meaning it has a horrific buzz). If you want to buy this guitar, I strongly suggest trying out the specific one you are about to buy in the store first.
