  • Way more than well worth the price

As reviewed by Rob on 7/12/2010

This is an awesome guitar. It plays very well, has a nice thin body with a gorgeous trans black finish, and the neck is amazing. The Floyd Rose is of very nice quality and can take some serious punishment. The guitar did need alot of adjusting out of the box but was totally worth it. Deffinitely one of Dean's top of the line instruments. The only problem is the pickups. The neck is fine and has a great tone but I am not a fan of the bridge pickup. It's just not heavy enough for me and they will be replaced soon. But other than that, no comaints. Amazing instrument, much more high quality than you think it is

This instrument is very nice. It looks great. It sounds awesome. It plays very well. The quality is very good, even the licensed Floyd Rose is of very high quality. It is everything that I was hoping for and more. The action was somewhat high when I received the guitar but I lowered it and it is now perfect. Compared to my Jackson, the neck is a little thick but I think that probably contributes to the good sound of the guitar. It is not too thick, just thicker than what I was used to and I got used to this very quickly. It is very solid and you can feel the music in your hands. I can't imagine how a guitar for any price could be better.

  • Worth the money and then some

If you're looking for a high quality guitar at a lower price, check out Dean. Many players endorse Dean and it's for a reason. People think about "brand" names they know when buying a guitar. If Dean isn't on your list, then you?re kidding yourself! I have played about every guitar known to man and now I own 3 Deans. This guitar far surpassed my expectations, and I was expecting a lot, it's a Dean! This is a shred machine, the only Ibanez I retain is my 7 string. If you want a feel similar to the Ibanez Prestige series, but at half the cost, check out a Vendetta 4.0. Plays great, pickups cut through the mix, came out of the box ready to play; no long set up time. The Floyd Rose has a nice smooth feel and pulls sharp. The site suggest I offer other product recommendations, well, get a nice high gain amp and an ISP Decimator and shred away with your new Dean Vendetta, sweeps are a dream on this thing! This guitar is for Neo Classical, Metal, Hard Rock, and Shredding.
