      Dean Razorback V 255 Electric Guitar (511853)
Availability:

One of Dimebag’s final designs.

The Dean Razorback V 255 electric guitar features a mahogany neck and body and a rosewood fretboard. The V-shape neck has a strong, set joint and a 1-5/8" nut. Grover tuners and a locking tremolo keep you in perfect tune while you divebomb the night away. 24 fast frets facilitate wicked, shredding solos and lightning quick chord changes. USA Dean DMT "DimeTime"/Dimebucker pickups provide plenty of molten tones. 3-way switching, volume and tone control keep things simple, yet tonally flexible, and with tons of presence. Being a Dean guitar, the Razorback V 255 looks as good as it sounds. Dangerous-looking edges are highlighted by color-contrast bevels on the body and outlines on the famous Dean headstock. V inlays with Dime's razorblade at the twelfth fret plus all black hardware make this guitar wickedly stunning. Dimebag Darrell Abbott's return to Dean Guitars was one of the many things cut far too short by his death near the end of 2004, but his many drawings and ideas have kept the guitar makers at Dean inspired. These Razorback V 255s were some of Darrell's final designs, and we're sure they will inspire you, too! Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

As reviewed by Joey vasselet on 11/15/2007

This guitar is amazing.. I played it in guitar center through a mesa tripple recto. This guitar has so much tone its sick!!! It plays almost too good.. Arpeggios on it are so easy it makes me laugh.. The frets are perfectly spaced and play like butta. lol... It stays in tune perfectly and the wammy is hella good!! Seriously buy this guitar!!! Its amazing.. It will change your playing and life.. Im saving up to buy it..

  • great guitar

As reviewed by Thomas Davis on 11/15/2007

I have the two-tone sort of Silverburst version. This guitar sounds amazing for all types of music. I play anything from Nirvana to Morbid Angel and everything sounds great with these pickups. The only bad things I have to say are that the guitar is HUGE and the tremolo system is a real pain the tune with but it doesn't knock it out of tune. Overall, I think it was definitely worth the money. Only very minor things against it. Nothings perfect.

  • Insane Guitar

As reviewed by joebi won kenobi on 6/5/2008

This thing is unbelievable. I just got it the other day, and I can't put it down. And when I do put it down, I can't stop looking at it. The 81/85 combo is perfect for this guitar. The tone is incredible. If you play metal, this is the mecca of guitars. I plugged it into my line6 half stack, and it gives me all the distortion I'll ever need. And the tremolo, although it isn't an original Floyd Rose, has got a set of balls. After tuning it the way I wanted, I have beat the crap out of the tremolo and it won't knock out of tune for anything. I love this guitar. If you have the money, buy it. If you don't have the money, save up and sell some of your other gear and buy it.
