The solid alder body is covered in a magnificent ArmorFlame Custom Etched Finish that is sure to turn heads wherever you perform. This animal is loaded with EMG active pickups and has a Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge, nickel hardware, and Grover tuners. Includes a hardshell guitar case.

  • nobody does it like dean and mab

who needs a jem when you can play this badass rock machine?! the neck is incredibly thin (better then alot of ibanez's) but its a bit rounded so you still get alot of sustaine and and thick tone out of it. the graphics are drop dead sexy, floyd next to never goes out of tune and its actually a lighter guitar then i thought it would be considering its a mahagony body. its probally the easiest 24 fret guitar iv ever played as opposed to some bc rich's. its one of my number one guitars and i also use it at least once live when i play. my only flaw that i found with the guitar is the pickups, i absolutly despise emgs but thats totally a personal thing so i still give the guitar itself 5 stars. the emgs still sounded fine when i got them but they have the worst tone, i swapped them out for some dimarzio dactivators and i have a dream guitar but if you dig emgs then you already have a dream guitar right out of the box.

  • BEST GUITAR EVER

As reviewed by rich on 2/13/2010

This guitar plays and sounds fantastic. The emg 81 and 85 pickups sound awesome. This guitar is designed for speed and skill with 24 frets and easy reach :D its the best thing I have ever played and looks awesome.

  • MAB1= Functional art

Well, I hate to sound like a DEAN employee but this guitar is great. The Armor flame finish is unique. But the real selling point is the neck and the way it's attached to the body. I can get my monkey paw hand to the 24th fret no problem. I also play a '88 Peavey Vandenberg and an Ephiphone Futura FX. I can't get to the higher frets without twisting my wrist uncomfortably. The EMG pick ups do sound better than passive humbuckers. The whammy bar can go up and down in pitch. The only one of my guitars with this feature. you'll be hard pressed to get the same playability and cool looks.
