Can go wrong with Dean Markley.

Comments about Dean Markley 2670 Blue Steel Cryogenic Extra Light Bass Strings:

Not the most heavy strings but I just got a Bass after some time so lighter gauge works and DM's are solid. These are fullround and have plenty of punch but still have a nice low end and sustain. Good for slap & pop, playing with a pick, these take 5 minutes to get use to with your fingers and like other DM strings are reliable. The Bass I have has a Phat Bass Boom so light strings on it are no problem to get a nice low end sound using it but can sound as good by adding a little bass on your amp. Overall I would say if you play in a style that suits lighter gauge these are fine and are worth it for under 20 bucks.
