Dean Markley 1972 Vintage Reissue light electric guitar strings are made to the same exacting specs as the original Vintage Electric strings that won the hearts of guitarists around the world. The combination of outer wrap alloy, special round cores, and core-to-wrap ratios make these strings sing with power and punch. Long life is just a bonus.
Dean Markley Vintage Electric Reissue guitar strings are nickel-plated steel hand-wound slowly over a round core, affording the outer string wrap 100% contact with the core wire. Your strings vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock and roll.

I finally broke down and picked up a 12 pack of the 9's. I've been playing the 10-46 gauge of these vintage Markley's for about three years and wanted something a bit more easier on my old fingers and these did the job. Nice, bright aggressive tone. I did notice that with these you don't have the gap looking spaces up and down the strings as the Vintage 10's do. These are shiny and sealed. If you're looking for a set of strings to perform with, then these are a lot longer lasting than any other brand. You won't have to be changing all of time. I've used a few different brands through the years but these are all I'll play with if Markley keeps putting them out and G.C keeps letting us get this box full, on the cheap. The Crippler was here. Try these out folks.
These strings are amazing ,i used these back in the late 80's and was sad when they stopped making these, but now they are back..they have killer tone very bright and after a few weeks mellow out to a really nice sound..I love these and I used them all Ernie balls, etc and these are the best ,they don't break easy and stay in tune nice...I got 6 boxes just in case they stop again ...
I picked up a few packs of these to try a new brand. I dig the sound they give, but my high strings are already turning black. I usually swap strings once a month but these ones are turning black in about two weeks. If you play a lot and change string a lot id say go for it, but if your a Hobbiest like me, go with something that will last a bit longer.
This pack is a steal. These strings are the only ones i put on my electrics. They have a great crisp and trashy tone for metal and blues alike. They have great life they alst forever and the 12 pack I just give packs away because I don't need them but its great for future purposes or multiple guitars. Its a best buy.
I've never seen Dean Markley guitar strings offered at this price, terrific price for a great product. Shipping was prompt ! Many thanks !
