The Dean Markley Artist Transducer is simple and effective. A small transducer, housed in a maple disk, sticks to the surface of your guitar near the bridge with a special adhesive. The adhesive allows the Dean Markley transducer to be removed and re-stuck many times without affecting your guitar's finish.     You just stick it onto the body of your guitar and it picks up the sound. It is useful and even a conversation starter, but I prefer pickups that you put in the sound hole. This one sounds decent to good, but sometimes can be tricky to find a good place for the best sound.

    Sound is pretty good, However if you plan to use any effects pedals with an acoustic you will need to purchase a preamp. The sticky stuff is not suited for old classic guitars it will leave a grease spot and it will pull traces of finish when it is removed.

  • Great Sound

    I received this as a gift from a friend. Since I have electronics on my acoustic guitars, I was a little skeptical about putting this on my ukulele. I was wrong. It picks up the vibrations well. The sound is clear and strong and it sounds like a nylon string ukulele. However, it can sound a bit fuzzy at times, but its still worth it and its great for ukuleles!
