The Dean Markley Artist Transducer is simple and effective. A small transducer, housed in a maple disk, sticks to the surface of your guitar near the bridge with a special adhesive. The adhesive allows the Dean Markley transducer to be removed and re-stuck many times without affecting your guitar's finish. This Dean Markley pickup also works great on violins, cellos, mandolins, pianos, even horns.

Not a bad pickup.

I Have this pickup on a dell arte gypsy jazz guitar, Sticks right on with the clay right near the bridge and has a very true crisp tone. And it is also removable. Only thing is, if your too close to the speaker (or too loud of an environment) You will get alot of feedback and you'll have to push down the transducer. For the price you cant beat it! It has a great tone.

watch out for the goo!!!!!!

Dean Markley says they haven't had a complaint about any part of this system for 17 years. Well, here's the first. The pickup really does sound very good for what it is. However, the adhesive is very sticky and almost impossible to get off of your guitar. I'm playing a vintage classical worth about 300-400$. Now I have an ugly, sticky, white mess on my bridge. I only had the pickup mounted for about an hour- that stuff just won't come off. Be CAREFUL!!!

Dean Markley Artist Transducer

You just stick it onto the body of your guitar and it picks up the sound. It is useful and even a conversation starter, but I prefer pickups that you put in the sound hole. This one sounds decent to good, but sometimes can be tricky to find a good place for the best sound.

satisfied

this is great for someone who doesnt need something professional and top-of-the-line. i havent used it on an acoustic guitar but on a mandolin it sounds crisp and bright. a good buy for the cheap price tag.
