Aggressive sound for rhythmic playing!

Gauges: 13-17-26-36-46-56.Dean Markley Alchemy Goldphos strings use pre-tuned mandolin wire cores and Diamond Drawn outer wraps electroplated with the exclusive MC394K Bright-Coat compound, an aerospace-technology derived substance with oustanding tonal response and durability."The GoldPhos are beautiful-sounding, with a warm and evenly nice rounded tonal projection with a very full-on sound. These work particularly well in my studio settings, as there is not much EQ to add or take away due to the character-landscape type of sound that they offer. They have a very balanced and even feel about them. Again -- with total voicing separation, and their quality of sound is total Inspiration..!!" - Amrit Sond, U.K.

Your satisfaction with any given string depends on a variety of factors: the size of the guitar, its tonewoods, style of music, and--of course--personal taste. The GoldPhosphor strings from Dean Markley, however, have transcended many of these factors. On my Martin 000s AND on the Martin dreadnoughts AND on friends' guitars--across the board--these strings (and the GoldBronze)deliver the exceptional. I practice hours each day (this is my job, folks) and these strings last forever. The "Sweetheart" period when strings are brand new and have that extra something? That lasts over a week of daily multi-hour hard rehearsal instead of a day or two. They settle in just barely below that. I can't say exactly how long they last myself because I change strings 2-3/month, but fiends and students tell me they maintain the characteristics we love up to months (of amatuer playing). Their depth, timbre, and resonance are amazing. Great sustain with a full on enthusiasm--as if begging for all you've got. If you want that pro character to your sound, get these strings (I use mediums for recording my detuned guitars, but the others are great, too).

It can take a long time to find the right kind of strings to match your guitar, playing style, etc. These Ac. Alchemy strings provide balanced, deep timbre for my mahogany bodied Martin 000. Paired with buffalo bone pins, nut, etc, my guitar's sustain, character, and volume have taken a broad leap into professional sound. Playing any combination of classical, blues, and/or jazz with these strings suprised and delighted me. The difference, when using these strings compared to Elixers or any "high-end string," is immediately noticible. Although they DO last a long time-retaining wonderful sound-I change strings frequently anyway (for recording and gigs). It is the sound, the wonderful and succulent sound, that keeps me coming back.

They sound great to me. I put them on an old acoustic that required changing strings monthly and the voice just dulled. With these.. they rock. nice sound that does not fade away which was typical of all the brands I tried for years. Also, I tend to notice that the coating makes it easier to shift chords with a little less noise.. feels better is what I'm saying here... With these strings, I change my strings when the sound charm fades.. It takes a loooong time to fade out. Now I hope everyone else will start coating their strings.. nothing more frustrating than to check out a new guitar with rusted strings on the showroom floor. Go find your passion.
