I've been using these for the past two years and keep coming back for more. The Dean Markley 1973 Vintage reissue " 10-46" are my choice above other name brands because they last longer, stay in tune and stand up to the abuse I give them with heavy bends. I used to change my strings weekly when using other strings. Not these. They go the distance and keep their tone and for the price of a 12 pack you can't beatem. Don't take my word for it, try a box. You might be surprised.
I have been playing for over 40 years and I am hear to tell you need to try these strings. I have been using Ernie Ball .10 to .46 for a lond time. I have tried every brand over the years and Slinky's have been doing it for me for a long time. But these Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue strings are the JUICE. They stay in tune, don't break and outlast every other string 2 to 1. I have 9 guitars and since these came back out I am using them exclusively. I did a comparison test since I had a couple dozen sets of Slinky's left to use up so with 4 of my normal playing out guitars I strung 2 with Slinky's and 2 with 1973's. After several string changes on all of the guitars I noticed the 1973's were still going strong when the Slinky's were toast. I was keeping the 1973's on for twice as long as the Slinky's. I play hard and play 2 nights a week out. I also practice at home and play in church on Sunday's and teach lessons two nights a week. I play alot! Try these for yourself and I think you will be amazed. They are my latest go to string brand and I can't believe I have found something better than Ernie Ball. Thanks Dean Markley!
