Dean ML79

I picked up this guitar last tuesday and I love it. Excellent sustain, very solidly built, and very big. It stands about 4 1/2 feet tall so the only options you have for a case are either the dean ML case or the coffin case 200vx. A must have for any intermidiate to advanced guitarist.

Korea?

this is the greatest guitar i have every used, sure like the other reviews say the stock pickups are a little below greatness,but i put a Pearly gates pickup in the bridge and it is godlike. the one thing that suprised me the most was, it sounded better then a gibson and a fender (high end product mind you) but this was made in korea and with one upgrade blows them away, this isn't just for metal and it doesn't need miles of effect pedals.

Give your others away...

When I first purchased the the 79 ML, I was compltetely blown away. this guitar feels like it was built just for me. I'm abig Guy (6'4") and alot of other axes feel like ukeleles in my hands. Well first off the tone was amazing, the set up out of the box was perfect. This guitar is very well balanced and comfortable to play either sitting or standing. The stock pickups have some bite with lots of gain, but the tones it puts out with moderate gain are beautiful. After playing my Dean, I exorcised my demons, I literally gave away my Gibson faded cherry V. There was no way I would play that again after playing the Dean...

I can't wait!

My neighbors own this guitar, and when I asked them about it, they asked if I wanted to buy it. I said H@%L YEAH! and they are going to sell it to me for $300! It is in a beautiful silverburst finish and plays like a dream. It's hard to believe the neck isn't thru construction, It's flawless! I'm a big dude and the size is a perfect match. I would recommend this for anyone, and the pickups are fine! I want to purchase a Bill Lawrence L500XL(what dimebag used) but am having no luck. Anyway, it's a great purchase.

Worth every penney

For the longest time Dean has been over looked because of their low end items. The price of this guitar does not truly reflect the vlaue and playability of this axe. I have been playing for over 22 years and have owned them all (PRS, Les Paul's, Jackson's). This is my newest love. The guitar plays great once set up. The only down side is the pickups. For a veteran player they could be a little better stock pickups. This guitar is well worth the money!!!
