I've had this bass for a week know and I cant believe how great it sounds! It plays like a dream and feels great. A bass this sounds this good at this price is a must have. I play through a Gallien-Krueger Backline 112 Bass Combo and, a Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer Pedal. Wow! What Combination that is with this bass.
Played this at my local music shop. This thing is the Sh*t!!! I love the Rickenbacker-esc look and for the pricetag it is great. I rate this bass up with my Fender P-Bass that I have had modded up with some beefed up pickups and a nice paintjob. I'm picking this up when I get the dough to.
I found this bass on line but I was skeptical that a $299 bass could be very good. I went to my local GC and tried on out. I was pleasantly surprised! First of all, I love the looks. Secondly, it has active pickups. I also like the feel of the satin finished neck. The strings have to go. Not surprising - most factory strings are garbage. Just a few minutes with a screwdriver and an allen wrench to adjust the action and intonation and a set of flatwounds and presto! A decent bass that won't break the bank.
