Quilted maple with a deep, transparent finish, besides being beautiful, always lends a sense of mystery to an instrument. The blending of nature's creativity with that of a luthier who obviously loves the craft never grows tiresome. So it is with Dean's Edge Pro 4-string electric bass guitar. An extra long upper cutaway horn contributes to the look of partnership with nature's asymmetrical beauty, and the gold hardware, dark pickups and control knobs finish the look nicely. Top if all off with the Dean Bass Clef inlay at the 12th fret.

Under the great looks, the maple and walnut neck-thru construction provides your instrument with great strength and warm, dark, full tone. The 3-band active EQ combined with two soapbar pickups means you'll never be at a loss for ways to tweak your sound to find just the right fit for each style you play.

The Edge Pro bass has 24 frets on a medium sized C shape neck that will let you perform smooth running lines with ease, plus allow you to become a little adventurous and try some chording if it strikes your fancy. A convenient flip-open 9V compartment hides around back in case you need to make a quick battery change in the middle of a set.

Excellent Bass

it's the first bass i bought and it is absolutely perfect. i got mine cheaper than the standard price, as i got it used, but it still had perfect quality sound, and it looks awesome with the tiger eye finish. the dean edge pro is an extremely flexible guitar, and can be played as a metal/rock guitar as well as jazz and blues. excellent overall, and for a first bass this is perfect.

Feel the bass...

I can't say enough about this bass. This bass is light and comfortable to play. I bought the transparent amber, and it looks awesome with the gold hardware. The active electronics are the best when it comes to that extra gain when playing live, but also when recording. I can plug right in to the recording interface without a DI box, and it sounds great. I haven't had any problems at all with the action or fret buzz. I play through a SWR WorkingPro 15, and I can get any sound from a smooth low jazz to a tight funk pop/slap. Can't go wrong with this one!!
