I played bass for years then stopped for about 10, and when recently started playing with a new band a month or so back needed a 5 string. Figured my dean 4 string works this is cheap so will get the 5 string. Damn good choice. It feels just as smooth and plays as well as any of the more expensive basses. The pick ups could be a little better had to mess with my amp tuning but overall a great bass.
I bought this guitar because I wanted a five string and I was short on cash. I have heard a lot of possitive feedback for Dean bass guitars and picked this one. It was a very good choice. It has a lot of low end and the Low B really rumbles. The only thing I didn't like was that it's volume was much lower then my 4 strings i really had to crank it up on my head. otherwise very good guitar.
buy this if you want to become a bassist, this guitar is great and at a low price
