  • Hot Pink Deal on Dean Custom Zone

As reviewed by Thecool-1 on 10/6/2006

I purchase this sleek and hot looking Dean Custom Zone guitar for my daughter, thinking it would be a great beginners guitar for a girl named Barbie. Well I was right and wrong, great beginners guitar for sure but great for an intermediate player as well like myself. The guitar is very well built and plays really easy, which is nice for the tender fingers of a beginner as my daughter, but it also is a real rocking guitar, with 2 hot humbuckers, for an intermediate player such as myself. The price of such a well built guitar makes it a great bargain for a low to medium price guitar. It stays in tune also very well. We play alot of 70's - 80's rock and it is well suited for this. Plays as easy as my Fender Strat FMT set neck which was surprising considering the price difference. With my Boss DS1 it has real nice distorsion and sustain pumping through a Line6 Spider II HD75 with Line6 4x12 cabinet. In a sentence, Great deal on a great playing, hot looking Dean Custom Zone.

  • Excellent Axe

As reviewed by Theinevitabledoover on 10/17/2006

This was my first real electric guitar, I got it 2 years ago and I have since upgraded my entire set up, but, this guitar is in many ways comprable to my Ibanez Iceman 400, which is well more then twice the price. I got this guitar in orange, it looks amazing, and very unique. However, the paint on the fretboard well scratch after repeated string bends, and the finish is pretty weak, scracthing and chipping at even the slightest bumps. But they say you get what you pay for and in terms of it's durability, I guess you do. It's sound, however, is where you get your money's worth. The pickups are hot, and can get a crunch loyal to the Dean name. It comes with a tremelo and has very strudy tuning, and it doesn't have a Floyd Rose. The neck is very comfortable, and the body is very light. Overall, if you are looking for a reasonablly priced starting guitar, I would (and have) highly recomend the Dean Custom Zone.

  • Best Guitar For ANY Age!!!

As reviewed by Stephanie(: on 5/23/2009

I waited AGES to buy this! From babysitting to car washes, I finally got it. It has a GREAT fretboad and sound. However, it DOES chip easily but it just shows signs of rockin out. I was at a club at my school where we used it and my 40 yr old teacher rocked out on it. BUY IT NOW!!
