It's pretty good

OK, I must say first off that I am no athority on 12 strings, I'm into bass... But, this is a NICE guitar. The pick ups are grade "A", and it has a very clean, pure sound. No matter what style of music you play, be Rock, Blues, Country, or what ever,it's a good bye. Now, I'm not going to paint a total rosie picture, it's pretty heavy. It's not like pure lead or anything, just slightly overwieght. But, don't let this keep your money in your pocket, it is well worth it, and you sould deffinitly get it, I am!

Happy player

Just received my Boca last nite. Overall it's an ace guitar!! Plays great, looks great. One minor setback. Volume pot not centered in dimple, makes th knob rub the finish. I cured that!!! I'm a Byrds fan and I can play them all. Great job,Dean.

WOW What an instrument!!!!

I realy don't need to say much about this little gem other then if you are in the market for an electric 12 string buy this sweet 12!!!! I have been playing guitar for 38+ years and have played MANY guitars. This gem is as good or better then any I have played. Even the very high dollar customs. Nothing needs luthing on this guitar. Everything is great right out of the box. For the folks whom don't like the tonality of this 12, might think about getting an amp that sounds the way they like it to. No need to change potentiometers, hardware or rewiring. Head stock is what it is. It's a 12. Pick ups sound great. No need to spend big bucks to get a quality 12 string. If you buy this guitar you won't be disappointed!!!!

Boca delivers Bang for your Buck

I purchased this guitar about 8 months ago, but it is not my primary instrument. I wanted a solid 12 string that had a good acoustical sound, but was easily amplified without the need for EQ’s, sound hole, or transducer type pickups and other issues related to a standard acoustic guitar. The guitar has a wide neck across the fret board, good fret spacing, and low action straight from the box. The intonation was good in both open chord and bar chord playing at the 12th fret. I have medium large hands so the wide neck did not pose a problem and it makes picking comfortable, but someone with small hands may find it a bit difficult. The guitar is not balanced well at all and is top heavy. This causes the head to naturally tip downward while playing if you’re standing up. If 12 string is your main axe it could be a little strenuous playing the guitar for long periods. The guitar is fairly basic with a single volume, tone control, and 3-way pickup selector. The form, fit, and finish is very good and it has the same weight and feel as an ES style guitar with a smaller body. It easily produces a nice warm sound of an acoustic as well bright sustain and crunch. This makes it easy to get a both an acoustic and electric sound from the guitar. I’ve given the guitar an overall rating of 4 out of 5 because of the balance issue and wide neck, but for the price this is an outstanding guitar for those times when you want the chorus sound only a 12 string can give you.
