ive been playing for a few years and i got one of these given to me by a friend that dont play and fell in love with it i lov the sound and feel i like the look of mls but thryre too big and bulky for me this one is the perfect size in my opinion it would be 5 stars but the neck does drop while playing with a strap but if ya play it for a little bit you get used to it and i got to say for the price one of the best guitars ive played
While the neck remains unchanged, the body feels rather odd. I like playing with the neck in a more vertical position, greater than 45 degrees from the floor and the scaled down body just feels small and flimsy. The neck feels down-right heavy, while the body feels way to light, which results in a bizare balancing act that may take your concentration away from your playing. In the same price bracket is the Dean MLX, which is full sized and really well balanced. That guitar is great for a beginner or a pro and for my money is the superior weapon!
Great for a beginer. Small, Light weight. Pretty good pick up's. I've replace the bridge pick up with an old (discontinued) dimarzio mega-drive for more outout. Baseball neck really bothers me though, since I play an RG1570 (super thin) normally. The body is so light that the neck drop's down while using a strap. For the price, I feel this is a good value. Price paid $200.00 in 2005.
