About Dean:
The company got its start when founder Dean Zelinsky decided to shake up the guitar world with radical new designs. He had built his own guitars since childhood and by the 1970s, he had a hunch that the world was ready for an invigorating new spin on classic electric guitar designs.
Dean guitars quickly gained recognition for their radical shapes and pointed guitar bodies with an iconic V-shaped headstock and winged logo. Later in 2007, the company incorporated their proprietary DMT pickups into some instruments' designs. Their edgy models have always been a hit in the metal and rock scene. However, today Dean's reach extends far into bluegrass and folk, offering gorgeous acoustic guitars in addition to resonator guitars.
