This pedal is excellent, I was looking for an affordable flange that actually worked. And I foudn it in the Danelectro Fab Flange. I would recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a solid flange pedal. Its well built, and has a sweet look. It might take a few minutes to find the exact sound your looking for, but it is very easy to use and makes a great addition.

Well, consider the price. It's all plastic so it may not have a long life with heavy usage. It is a little on the noisy side. Not so good for clean tone things but I have found a use for it by putting it after a fuzz or overdrive for a little spice to the tone. I also kinda like the noise that it adds in this use. Wouldn't want it for more full body flange effect - get a Digitech or DOD (been meaning to check out the E. Van Halen too) for that but for a little flange to add to a boring signal it has it's uses.

Plastic shell is no problem

By John Gunn

from Clayton, NC

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

I read some of the other reviews on this product and the only concern was about the outer shell being made of plastic. The plastic is heavy duty, so unless you are a lead foot then I don't see how your going to break this thing. Pedal has a little fuzz to it when in use (not a problem when followed up by a noise gate) but true by-pass works great (no fuzz). The price is awesome. I have this in-line with the Cool Kat auto tremelo that jacks into a Marshal 10W practice amp the has plenty of distortion. The manual has a few suggested setting to help you get started. Highly Recommended for a beginner or intermediate players who want a great pedal but don't need to break the bank to have it.

Not the best, but it works

By Kyle

from boardman, ohio

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

This pedal is not the best flange pedal, but it works, and for me , since I don't typically use flanger effects, it's fine. Surprisingly, the plastic holds up fine. Never had a proble. sounds great on clean effects, but is kind of drowned out with distortion or other effects.

cool little flange

By ZiggY-of-(SIN)theticDownSide

from Peoria, IL

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

A former drummer of mine (many bands ago) got this for me for christmas since we were recording with a borrowed flange and i didn't have the money to get one for live performance. For being plastic, its pretty durable. I can't stomp on it like a BOSS but it survived many drops on concrete floors, stages, etc. Its got decent tone for a $15 pedal. However, it got stolen from me by a former guitarist along with my chorus pedal. But since it was a cheap unit, no big loss and I may just get another one.

I guess I shoulda taken the class

By Mike

from San Antonio, TX

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

I am trying to still learn how to set up. I can get some great sounds but I wonder if I have the right guitar and amp. I can get something that sounds just like a good chorus setting, but the 'jet airplane' effect is hard to dial in. Use it in combo with the distortion pedal and you are rock star.

ST3p

By Michael Roby

from Ohio

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

A friend of mine bought me this for Christmas one year, and I really liked it. It can be a little odd at first, but once you start experimenting with it, it really starts to grow on you. It makes a nice flange, from a good soft tone to such a strong flange it will drive you insane. I also like using it to make a nice, closed room sound that can really change your performance. Its really good for the price and I suggest getting it.

ITS OK AT BEST...

By NickNack

from Baldwin Park, Ca

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

The pedal is very delicate which makes it hard to really use thoroughly. The battery life is not the best. You'd proly spend more on batteries in a week then u spent purchasing this product. The sound is actually pretty good but once the batteries start going down then its hard to tell.

Makes a nice paperweight

By AdamWill

from Texarkana, TX

Comments about Danelectro Fab Flange:

I bought this pedal on sale for ten dollars & wished I had spent the money on something useful such as cat litter or a parking ticket. The white noise on this thing is overwhelming & the amount of actual difference you recieve in sound at all is minimal to say the least, not to mention the fact that the entire thing is made of cheap plastic & the screw on the underside can easily be stripped in four or five batteries time, which the pedal eats up very quickly. Save your money.
