The Dano 63 is a remake of the original '63 electric guitar that launched a thousand garage bands and more than a few pro careers. The body construction is just like the originals with a hardboard top and bottom laminated to a plywood frame. The hollow inner chamber produces the resonance that is part of Danelectro's unique tone. The '60s era lipstick pickups have been replicated to be hot, sweet, and to sound just right. The bridge and tuners are fully upgraded. Zero-gloss nickel hardware accents the cool retro colors. A blast!

For the price, I challenge anyone to find a better looking, more unique sounding guitar. Anyone who has seen my collection immediately points out the Dano, it's really a beauty. It is very well constructed, and holds its tune very well. As far as the sound is concerned, it blows me away for the price. Everything from clean to maxed out gain sounds great in it's on uniquely Dano way. I highly recommend this guitar.
I own an original 1963 Silvertone/Dano 1448 upon which this guitar is based. It has one of the warmest richest tones i have ever heard from a guitar. The single "lipstick" pickup produces a clear crisp sound. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a clear telecaster like sound. I personally play my silvertone/dano through an overdriven amp and it gives it a nice punk sound.
