Good pedal for the price

By Brian

from Salinas, Ca

Comments about Danelectro DJ-4 Corned Beef Reverb Pedal:

Nice reverb petal with a fairly broad range. Gives it the depth with a slight echo. I'm not going to say its the best out there, cause its not, but if your on a budget its worth the money.

Simple Yet Effective

By Mark Shackelford

from Arlington, TX

Comments about Danelectro DJ-4 Corned Beef Reverb Pedal:

I've used more expensive, advanced pedals but this is the only one I've kept. If you just looking for simple reverb this does the trick. I've used it for vocals (patched through a mixer) and guitar. Yes, it's a cheesy little cheapy pedal but it works. And it's not so complicated that you spend hours trying to tweek it.

Great pedal for a little money

By The Govtmule

from Georgia

Comments about Danelectro DJ-4 Corned Beef Reverb Pedal:

I got this because I have a modelng amp that does not have a dedicated reverb control. I wanted to add reverb without having to edit effects and it works great. It is a straightforward unit with only a spring-type reverb but that's fine. I had a digiverb pedal once and didn't really like it. The reverbs were a bit too intense and I couldn't find a basic sound I liked. The reverb here is nothing fancy and it is easy to set and forget about. I generally keep it at almost the lowest level because it has the capability to get way to much reverb. I just like a mild setting to enhance and warm up the sound. Most reverb pedals cost 3 times this much. I had a Danelectro distortion pedal once and it sucked but I am very pleased with this unit. The only bad thing is it will not accept a traditional 9v power supply plug (like for a power brick). You either have to use a battery, order their power supply or ,like me, use the Godlyke Power Supply with the 9v battery-type connector. I give it 4 stars because it does lack the functionality of the more expensive units. In it's price range though it is 5 stars.

Great!

By Tom Cooke

from Planet Earth

Comments about Danelectro DJ-4 Corned Beef Reverb Pedal:

This is my first Danelectro pedal and i must say i am very pleased with the product. I ordered on line and was expecting less quality for the money but i was so wrong. I use this reverb unit consistantly 2-3 days per week since i got it and it has performed without missing a beat. yes, it does sound just like the reverb units of the 1960's amps. it can be alittle springy sounding if you add too much. just back it off alittle and it fills the acoustic guitar sound nicely. Great for my needs! on a budget? the price is right!

Stage-Hall sound

By Metairie

from Undisclosed

Comments about Danelectro DJ-4 Corned Beef Reverb Pedal:

For the stage-hall acoustics of a live performance. Great for basic practice amps without a reverb. I use this little pedal with my Marshall 10 watt mini-stack. A 9v battery for the amp and one for the pedal, plug in and I can still rock on if the power goes out.
