I always wanted a distorsion pedal but I have a limited budget. I bought this pedal expecting the usual raspy high notes and muddy low notes, but was I completely wrong. This pedal is amazing. It has a very clean distorted sound, not that sawtooth distorsion most low cost pedals have. The knobs are really a plus. You can't turn them by accident with your foot when you go to press the pedal, because they face toward the back. The controls let you choose from a variety of sounds and tones. This pedal is an awesome buy.

i love this little pedal! My friend was a music director of my church and gave me this little pedal. Right now its the ONLY pedal i own.I've had it for some time now and i had to fix it a little bit here and there, but basically if you lack distortion get this lil guy. But bottom line is there is better out there!

Great for the Price!

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

Let's be real, at $16.49, this little pedal costs about as much as a decent lunch! That said, it does a great job! Take some time and really fiddle with the tone and distortion levels, as well as your pickup selection. I'm sure you will find satisfying sound. It is made almost entirely of plastic. So, as for durability, that is yet to be seen. I am very careful and easy on equipment, so I anticipate no problems. If you're a romper-stomper, maybe not. If you're on a budget or, like me, use distortion on a very limited basis, this is the pedal for you. I love it!

Works great

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

Works great on my Cigar Box Guitar. I cut back the distortion to minimum and it gives a fuller sound to the guitar, and cranked up sounds fantastic, makes my little CBG sound like a rock super guitar. Love it

This pedal is very underrated ! Buy it !!!!

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

I just got this yesterday to compliment my Fab Chorus Pedal that I'm using through my vintage 1988 Fender Studio 85 combo amp , and I have to say that I am not disappointed . This pedal is a very pleasant surprise to say the least . So what if it's made of plastic ? I don't have a problem with that at all . Be gentle with it and it'll last . To those who complain about it eating up batteries , well there is a solution to that, unplug your cables when you're not playing and your batteries will last a long time. Now ,the sound of this can go from Blues to Metal and is nice and clear with any muddiness at all . It's a nice , crispy , sounding distortion that has a lot of sustain to it. My next purchase is going to be the Danelectro adaptor for my 2 pedals. I have to take my hat off to them for making such fine products at a very reasonable price for us consumers who are on a low budget.

Get It Now!

By

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

I did not get this peddle at GC, I bought mine a couple of years ago from a local guitar shop. I fell in love with it instantly after I played it. I own a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone distortion pedal as well, along with a few other name brand distortion pedals, and NONE of them are as good as this little guy. For the music I play, this peddle is a God send!

amazing distortion for such a little pedal and great price! definatly reccomend this to everyone. only drawback is the power consumption. eats batteries like candy. reccomend buying the a/c adapter. otherwise great rugged pedal!

A Quality Pedal at A Great Cost.

By

from Stevi, MT

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

I got This as a Present last year, and i couldnt believe it. It is a good pedal, but can mess with me at times. Since i have a guitar and getting a band together, I think i am going to use mostly the FAB company as my choice. Sometimes it may have an odd distortion sound, but is still getting the job done. I am in a Thrash Metal Band, and it is the one I and my other Guitarist are going to use. It has a raw metal sound, maybe not as good as the D-3, but is good for the Price of it. :)

You get what you pay for

By

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

I had a good 6 months with this pedal it sounded pretty good, my boss is a lot better, but it makes for a good starter pedal until you get the money for the serious pedals.

Comments about Danelectro D-1 Fab Distortion:

I use it as a keyboard effect, it works well for that, I don't know how it would sound for its intended use on guitar.
