Overview

The Danelectro Cool Cat CF-2 Fuzz brings plenty of touch sensitive fuzzy goodness to your guitar, with loads of sustain, a crunchy top, and a full bottom end. This Cool Cat pedal adds two "Under the Hood" features: an Input Sensitivity control and a 3-position dual in-line package (DIP) switch that lets you add different combinations of LEDs for greater dynamic and tonal control.

Controls
FUZZ: Controls the amount of fuzz from minimum (fully counterclockwise) to maximum (fully clockwise). Higher settings increase fuzz distortion and volume as well as thickening the tone. This control is modified by the "Under the Hood" Input Sensitivity control.

TREBLE / BASS: Adjusts the frequency extremes of the fuzz sound. The two controls are stacked; the inner control is for Treble, the outer for Bass. At their minimum (fully counterclockwise) setting, the selected range will be cut. At their maximum (fully clockwise), the selected range will be boosted.

VOLUME: Controls the overall volume of the Cool Cat fuzz pedal when the fuzz is activated, from minimum (fully counter-clockwise) to maximum (fully clockwise). The Volume control has plenty of range to allow even low Fuzz settings. This control is modified by the "Under the Hood" Input Sensitivity control.

BYPASS: The true bypass footswitch engages and disengages the Danelectro fuzz pedal.

This guitar effect pedal has lots of volume, so start with your amp and the Volume control turned down.

Features
  • Controls: Volume, Tone, and Gain
  • "Under The Hood" sensitivity control
  • True bypass switching (3DPT), metal case, metal jacks

VERY IMPRESSIVE

By

Comments about Danelectro Cool Cat Series CF-2 Cat Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

I was looking at adding a fuzz pedal to my board as I love the sound in songs by Hendrix and Cream. I just play the guitar for fun and by no means put myself in the category of musician or guitarist. I do believe I have a good ear for tone. I ran this pedal through my Orange Micro-Terror practice amp and a Squier Vintage Modified Strat (Surfcaster). I first experienced a little bit of fuzz as I directly plugged in and messed with the settings on the pedal. Then I decided to read the manual that came with the pedal and found that it had dip switches underneath the battery. That is where the magic is! If you are looking at getting those classic fuzz tones without breaking the bank, this pedal is for you. The construction is solid unlike the $29.00 Danelectro pedals. The fuzz cleans up nicely with the volume knob of your guitar. This is the second product I have bought blind based on a Guitar Player Magazine review and I am happy in both cases. Go to Guitar Center and check this pedal out. You won't be disappointed.

Great fuzz pedal

Comments about Danelectro Cool Cat Series CF-2 Cat Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is a very good fuzz pedal, it's extremely customizable, it has all kinds of switches and stuff you can play with to make it sound pretty much however you want. And for those of us (myself included) who cant go through and figure it all out, the instructions include some setups that sound great! and its made out of metal, unlike the normal danelectro pedals. very pleasantly surprised.

Comments about Danelectro Cool Cat Series CF-2 Cat Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this pedal recently thinking that it would sound like any old danelectro pedal, but no, this coolcat is one of the best fuzz pedals i have ever played! it surely beats danelectros other fuzz pedals like the french toast octave/distortion pedal. i would definitely recommend it.

Great fuzz pedal!

By

Comments about Danelectro Cool Cat Series CF-2 Cat Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is an excellent fuzz pedal! It's easy to set up and use. It sounds excellent! It works great on both guitar and bass, which is slightly strange because normally guitar pedals can't pick up on all the low signals given off by the bass. The way this pedal works with bass though, I'd practically be willing to believe it was designed for that! I highly recommend it to any guitarist or bassist who uses fuzz. It's a great pedal, and it's dirt cheap!
