The Danelectro Cool Cat CO-2 overdrive effect pedal adds a healthy dollop of color to your guitar tone with plenty of crunch and bloom. It's very responsive to touch as well as your guitar's volume and tone controls; while it's thicker than the Transparent Overdrive, your guitar's voice still comes through.
The Drive controls set the amount of overdrive from minimum (fully counter-clockwise) to maximum (fully clockwise). Higher settings have higher distortion, volume and low end bloom. The tone control adjusts the tone of the Drive, so you can find your tonal "sweet spot." Turn clockwise for brighter tones and counter clockwise for darker tones. Volume control adjusts the overall volume of the Danelectro Cool Cat pedal, with plenty of range to allow even low drive settings. This guitar pedal has lots of volume, so start with your amp and the volume control turned down. The true bypass footswitch engages and disengages the overdrive pedal.

Comments about Danelectro Cool Cat CO-2 Overdrive V2 Guitar Effects Pedal:
Simply put the new Danelectro CO-2 is a garage rocker's dream. It can sound like CCR, The White Stripes or anything in between. I find I like it best with single coil pickups. Like the other Cool Cat pedals, the CO-2 has a metal case (not plastic like some of the Fabtone series Danelectros), so it's same for stage use, true bypass switching (to not suck tone when it's disengaged) and the standard volume, tone and drive knobs you expect on a distortion pedal. However, the difference lies in the circuitry. The CO-2 has the marked advantage of using a FET circuit (rather than strictly op-amps like most pedals) and has a some hidden switches located underneath the batter cover. The switches are for input sensitivity and "lo-fi"...very cool. Adjusting the input sensitivity to low, I've noticed helps my highs stay more "in tact" and clearer. The CO-2 is a dirtier sound than the CTO-2 (a great all-around pedal), but a worthy addition to a pedal collection!
