I purchased this pedal because I wanted to have that "vintage spring reverb sound". And if you are like me, I care a lot about my sound. I have played the fender 63 reverb reissue, which you can never go wrong with, but my opinion still holds that the Danelectro Spring King is better. This gives you the durability not found with the fender, the tone control to adjust your reverb just the way you like it (dark, bright, or somewhere in between!), doesn't affect your guitar tone (true bypass rocks!!!), and is small enough to fit on your pedal board! Oh yeah, and is about $500 cheaper too! The most interesting thing about this is the fact that it is an analog spring reverb. I thought it was just another digital reverb, but when I opened it up there is a real reverb tank with real springs inside. I've gigged with this, I've recorded with this; If vintage sound is what you want, the Danelectro Spring King has it!!!
